Gone From Texas,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gone from Texas: Our Lost Architectural Heritage (Centennial Series of the Association of Former Students, Texas a & M University) (Hardcover)
Great book about the various buildings and landmarks that have been systematically detroyed in the state of Texas (past and present), mostly in the name of progress. My impression is that if various groups of preservationists had not stepped in, even buildings/landmarks would of been destroyed that had historic landmark status. Once these buildings are gone, they are gone, and if there weren't photographs taken of them, very few would of known they had ever existed.
