Hypnotize Camp Classic!,
By Real Talk Of PA (N.B, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gone on That Bay (Audio CD)
Hypnotize Camp Posse's Frayser Boy, lays it down with his debut, Gone On That Bay. If you are a fan of the whole Three-Six-Mafia, Hypnotize Camp movement then you'll be more than happy after copping this album. Frayser Boy keeps it gutter and close to home, with banging production, and a hot southern flow like what you would hear from his fellow H.C.P(Hypnotize Camp Posse) soldiers, Lil' Wyte, and Three-Six-Mafia. This album has a major upside due to the fact there is hot production all over the album, and he spawns such H.C.P classics like "Watchin' Me" and "Nan Notha". What keeps Frayser Boy from recieving 5 stars is the very small downside being, it may not be too appealing to places like New York, and other major non-southern cities and hood's around the country(A plauge among many southern artists). Also, like most rap albums to date it has around 2-3 unappealing songs that seem like they were just put on the album to take up time and remaining space like the tracks "Ooh Wee" and "Hydro Weed". However I feel the other hot tracks make a good case to make this album a Hypnotize Camp classic. Trust me you need to go cop this album, it is worth the money. Look for more reviews by me, "Real Talk Of PA", I'm givin' ya'll straight reviews 24/7, I am one custy you can trust when it comes to givin' advice on buying the newest thing out. 1 Luv-Real Talk Of PA

Frayser Boy's first album, Gone On That Bay, doesnt disappoint. Paul & Juicy's beats are still phenominal. Best Songs on here are: Gone on that bay, Nan notha', bloody murder, flickin, bay area, walk a mile, and H.C.P.(HCP! DEFEAT DOES NOT EXSIST IN THIS CAMP, DO YA HEAR ME???)

Frayser Boy is one of Hypnotize Minds greatest Solo artist to come out since (Project Pat) but like all gangsta rappers, throwing to much energy on the first debut albums you know that the next CD is not exciting as we think and hope for.I recomment "Gone on That Bay" (2003) than "Me Being Me" which I give it 3.5 and this CD I give it 4.5

I am in love with Gone on that Bay. This was the first cd I bought when I got my first car (that had a cd player). Fraysier Boy is truly one of the best Memphis has to offer (other than Yo-gotti, Eightball, and MJG). This album is truly for Memphis-Tenn listeners. I don't believe someone from New York or LA would appreciate this album, much like I wouldn't appreciate their underground artists. 98% of this album is just banging, nothing more and nothing less. I would also suggest buying Me Being Me because he delivers the same Memphis flavor. "No Commercial Nothing" (excuse my ebonics). I would say to first time listeners, just listen to the album. It might sound like garbage when you first skim through the album to decifer what tracks are hot and not, but as you listen to it, it begins to grow on you like Kanye West does on all his songs.

the conveyor belt of paul/juicy releases continues.these newer albums are beginning to sound more and more similar and samey.not much too differentiate from this and lil wytes, apart from frayser boy is a better rappper.i mean i dont want to do too much lil wyte hatin,it was only his first album, but he just doesnt do the super producers beats any justice.frayser boy on the other hand, does.he has a voice like a southern version of notorious big, which is not bad thing.and his flows are reasonably good as well.one problem,on several occasions he wholesale rips project pat flows.for example his last verse on "walk a mile" he copies a flow pat used on layin the smack down and "mafia" on the choices soundtrack.why do this????? could it be frayser's just been wheeled in to plug the gap that pat left??? and when pat gets out will he be jettisoned??? this album isnt great, too many of fraysers verses and lyrics are throwaway fodder.he tries too hard on some of them as well.that said there are some hot hot tracks on this;dont let what i said take that away.theres a lot of bump."gone that way" "N***** wild throwin boez" "walk a mile" "closed mouth" are all thumpin!!!! hot paul and juicy beats.if anything, they shouldve used some of these beats for "da unbreakables",rather than them not being used to there best potential on this.interestingly enough, the lil wyte/frayser boy collabo "bay area" is tight, and the two of them trade verses well together.rather than giving both of them a solo, pulling the best beats from both of these albums and having them do a joint album wouldve been much better than having them both make overlong solo albums.im not too sure whether id recommend this:its far too long for a start, too much of what he says is repetitive, some of the beats are flat.much like lil wytes really.if you could perhaps aquire the good tracks from both of these albums somehow, and not bother with the rest, you'd maybe save yourself some money.when this is hot its great, but all too often the tracks fall flat.3 outta 5.

Hypnotize Camp Classic,
By A Customer
This review is from: Gone on That Bay (Audio CD)
As always the beats are supertight and there are 24 tracks. Three six mafia new age classic album with all of the hymptonize artists rapping except for project pat. If your from the south and feel gansta music this album is representing. If your the sensentive new age friendly sucker type this album is not for you. The three six mafia crew is holding gansta music down in the south as well as many other artists such Bun B, T.I., and many other southern gansta rappers!!!!!!

Frayser Boy is HARD,

This CD wasn't the first I have heard of Frayser Boy but it's the best. Ive been down with this camp for years and the flows on this CD Hypnotize my mind and make my jaw hit the floor. The way he flows, the beats, and the things he says keeps this in my CD player constantly. The only way to make this one better would have been to put "Glock In My Draws" and "Mouth Write A Check" on it. Get this and you won't be dissappointed unless you're brain dead. And if you're really down with this camp, you BETTER write Project Pat in jail. HCP till i DIE

Frayser is a gret addition to the 3-6/Project Pat Family,

Wow, this album is pretty good compared to the junk thats out there these days. Ive been listening to 3-6 & HCP for the last year or so and every HCP album has amazed me. I am glad DJ Paul added this guy to the roster, there are some awesome beats on this album along with lyrics. The best song i think on this album is "She Swallowed It" It brings some real power and Frayser automatically proved himself to me on this track. He kind of reminds me of Project Pat...speaking of, this is the right rapper to take Project Pat's place since he's locked up. Don't get me wrong i love project the most though.!! FREE PROJECT PAT !!

You a Pistol Playa!,
By Enlightened "Both Eyes Closed, see what u don... (Atlanta Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gone on That Bay (Audio CD)
The long awaited Frayser Boy album finally drops and it was worth the wait. After appearances on Vol. 16 For Da Summa and Chronicles of The Juice Mane last year, Frayser Boy comes through. Frayser Boy, known for his in your face style, (beat the brakes off yo a$$ nicca you don't think I will? If you wanna keep some peace between us you best ta chill!) but not known for just straight up gangsta talking. Frayser Boy and Lil Wyte were great new additions to the HCP camp. This boy be straight up rippin and of course DJ Paul & Juicy J deliver on the beats...which is the staple of the label anyway. Hypnotize Artists also have some underated storytelling talents. `Bloody Murder' is a great story rap. Pistol Playa is also a great track about punks that talk junk and then have a gun instead of throwing the hands. That's a real track right there. IF you liked any of the previous HCP releases than this album is surefire for you...but to the people just getting into the HCP should try something else because this is a true underground album.
