I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA is one hilarious film; even though many of the jokes fall flat at times, the whole is superlative tongue in cheek satire. A broad humored satire of those wonderful 70's "black exploitation" films, Wayans and crew serve up scene after scene of hilarity. For instance: a sleazy girl is singing a sultry version of "When the Saints Come Marching In," and when Wayans asks who she is, the waitress says "She's the director's sister." (She is!). When ex-football star Jim Brown asks Wayans why he thinks he's qualified to be a black hero, Wayans tells him "I'm an ex football player." When Dawnn Lewis as Wayans' sweetie gets the cramps, she really gets cranky!! John Vernon as Mr. Big spouts off why shouldn't he be in a black exploitation movie, other actors have! There are so many scenes like this that one can't help but laugh and laugh again.
Featuring a cavalcade of black and white actors, including Clarence Williams III, Isaac Hayes, Ja'net Dubois, Antonio Fargas and Steve James, I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA is a hoot to watch!

This movie stands the test of time and is still as hilarious today as it was when it was released. You will laugh out loud as the ridiculousness and fashion excesses of the 70s are mocked. Keenan really outdid himself with this one. "Huggy Bear" wearing gold fish filled glass heeled shoes after coming out of jail is too hilarious for words.

This movie is too funny!! You will kill yourself laughing...I saw this movie with a friend and we almost hurt ourselves falling off the sofa when we saw the movie. There are some classic spots...when Heat of Night actress...kicks off her leg, and says "don't make me hop after you"...that whole scene is wild...also, LaDawn, who was not feeling well, had to go home, and she was about to be attacked, and went off on the attacker, and he said what's wrong with you, you got the devil in you, response..."NO. CRAMPS". You've got to see it to believe it...Antonio Fargas's fish shoes, Kung Fu Joe...fighting and leaving the phone message. Then there's the scene where, Isaac Hayes, straps on the guns...well you just watch. Chris Rock, who wanted to order one rib and get a "sip" of soda...with a wad of money. Move the soda and popcorn out of the way, because they're going to be spilled all over the sofa! If you want to laugh like you've never laughed before, watch "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka".

The best way to sum up this film is by saying that this is one of the funniest movies I have seen. This film ranks right up there with Airplane and Blazing Saddles. And by that I mean that after watching this film you will find yourself quoting lines from this film for years to come. I first saw this film over 15 years ago and to this day I still find it hilarious. Even though I have seen it many times and I know all the jokes I still laugh at them. This film is that funny. This is the Wayans Bros. back when they first got started and were at there best. This film is a parody of every blaxploitation film ever made. And it is funny picking out refernces to the different films. Also keep an eye out for cameos from various actors. And always pay attention to things that are happening in the background. 15+ years later and I am still finding things happening in the background that I missed before. So order this film sit back and be prepared to laugh so hard that you cry.

One of the funniest I've ever seen. One of the funniest movies of the 80's. But the DVD quality is horrible. Since its not an anamorphic transfer the quality is grainy. The DVD only has 3 gigs of data so that means the movie was compressed. You would think a greatly written and acted movie would have a commentary and extras features. Not on this!! This movie deserved better treatment.

If you liked 'Naked Gun', or other pharsical movies, you will love this one. Made in the tradition of the best pharse comedies, it is hysterically funny and makes you laugh at every turn. There are some very amusing characters, brought to life by a cast of brilliant comedic actors. This is one of the very best movies with this type of comedy. Highly recommended!

If you like Wayans brothers' comedies you'll love this movie! Even if you don't like Wayan's brothers' comedies you'll be surprised at this one. Any lovers of classic hip hop oughta be happy to see a cameo of KRS-One, from Boogie Down Productions. Anyone who loved- or hated- blaxploitation films from the 70s needs to see this satire of Shaft-Superfly-Coffey-esque films. It's hilarious!

I still remember the first time I saw this movie... I thought I was going to bust a gut I laughed so hard! There are a lot of talented actors in this film who were just getting started when this film came out (the Wayans brothers leap to mind), not to mention some veteran actors from the sixties and seventies. Anyone who sees this film always remember some scene clearer than the rest and the case my wife (whom I met years later) it was the scene where "Cherry" made her confession... and the famous line "Don't make me hop after you!"

I give this my highest rating!

"I'm Gonna Git You Sucka!", the first and best Wayans film, is a wonderful mix of 70's blaxploitation, honesty, and pure camp. It is difficult to conceive of the number of jokes used in this film, from the skinny white, mustached stuntman filling in for a middle aged black woman to Chris Rock's craving for "a rib". The social commentary by Keenen Ivory Wayans far outdoes his later films, but the performances here really shine. A truly spectacular comedy.

Forget about Scary Movie, Forget about Menace. Sucka takes the oscar. This is the best blaxploitation film ever. There is no way to descibe the pain you'll be in from laughing. From June Bug's O.G. to Flyguy's walk of shame this movie is a laugh riot.

This movie picks up where other spoofs fear to tread.
