Tiga's singles tend to disappoint,

Tiga is amazing. His remixes for artists like Felix da Housecat and Depeche Mode are sometimes brilliant. His music is sexual, his lyrics are fun - often ridiculous. His album SEXOR is worth finding. So is his mix of "Madame Hollywood" and his cover of "Sunglasses At Night."
Perhaps one of the better tracks on SEXOR is the song "You Gonna Want Me." I was spaz-happy to see there was a commercial release of the single... and disappointed when I caught up with it. The mixes are decent at best.. and sadly there aren't many. I have recently come to the conclusion that artists outside the genre of dance tend to have singles that provide MORE remixes by MORE artists, and tend to be MORE creative.. while artists within the dance genre like Tiga, put all their energy into the full length album, and spend very little time with choosing good mixes for the singles (and usually limit us to only one or two) Still, it's decent. If you are a fan of the man, go get it. It's okay. |
