5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, it actually works! It takes practice, though..., December 29, 2004
This review is from: Goo Gone - Quart (Kitchen)
Let me start by saying that I love this stuff. It's mainly used in my house for removing stickers on glassware, various displayed items, and those pesky "previously viewed only $2.99" stickers that are on the VHS tape boxes I pick up at Blockbuster. It doesn't harm the glossy slipcases, even though it leaves a temporary grease spot.

The key to this product is time. First off, don't try to pull a sticker or label off first--just get the Goo Gone, it works best on whole stickers. I apply it with a paintbrush over the label, and let it soak it for a few minutes. I make sure it's still wet, then wait a couple more. Finally, I just barely pull the label and it has NO MORE STICK left in it!

Anything with a sticker on it that you are afraid of ruining (by trying to pick the sticker off) is a candidate for Goo Gone. I would test a small section first, and remember, a temporary spot may be left. I think that this would be a fabulous product for tree sap removal on your hands or your car!

The best use for it is fresh gum! It makes the gum crumble, and you just brush it up. Test apholstery first, and don't let it dissolve the glue on your carpet's backing. This is where a paper towel doused with Goo Gone would be handy. Use the towel to wipe up excess sticky stuff, then follow with soap if desired. It leaves an orange scent anyway, so I just wipe dry!

I highly recommend it. It's a must have in your home. You will have fun with it even if you hate cleaning.

I never thought I'd write a review on a cleaner, but Goo Gone is great! I just removed an extremely stubborn grease stain on plaster that I couldn't remove with anything else I tried. It came off very esily with Goo Gone. It is also great to remove adhesives, like removing labels on products you buy.
