5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully fun for boys, October 13, 1999
By A Customer
My two boys (ages 6 and 8) and I loved all the Time Warp Trio books. Fun and fantasy with some history lessons thrown in. Lots of laughs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of this World, and Back in Time!, January 23, 2001

The Time Warp Trio is a crazy trio of a spotlight man, a brainiac, and a human pig. "Mr. Spotlight" opens The Book. He says the goofiest rhyme you can think of to send his crew back in time to the cowboys. What do you know? It works! All of a sudden, this Time Warp Trio find themselves in a "twister" of adventure. Illustrations help you imagine the story clearly. If it gets boring for a page or two, don't panic; it will jump right back into adventure. Beware, it's dynamite laughs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Laugh out loud fun boys will love!, July 14, 2000
A magical birthday gift lands Fred, Sam and Joe smack-dab intothe middle of the old wild west, cowboys, Indians, and a ragingstampede. Authentic western flavor combines well with the history/adventure slant. The Time Warp Trio have to be brave, clever, and quick, very quick, on their feet to survive this adventure. Another book of the Time Warp Trio series, Jon Scieszka combines adventure, history, fantasy and humor in a compelling format that even reluctant readers will find hard to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Time Warp Trio THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE GOOFY, June 8, 2005
A Kid's Review
Do you like funny things? Because if you do this is the book for you. It's about three boys named Fred, Sam, and Cookie who use magic to go back in time to 1816, the western time period of time.

Jon Scieszka writes it. He writes the series called The Time Warp Trio. I really like this book.

If you want to find out what happens to Sam, Fred, and Cookie go to your local library.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Good The Bad And The Goofy, November 27, 2002
A Kid's Review
Joe, Fred, and Sam are watching a western show, when suddenly they get sucked back into the book. The boys find themselves in a desert.Fred starts to hear something. It's a stampede. They are about to get hit by the stampede! Will anyone come to their rescue?
Some of the funny parts are when they almost get run over by the cows and at the end when you see the hole in Fred's hat.In one of the pictures the cow has 5 utters so tht was funny.I think you should read this book because it's just as funny as the first two Time Warp Trio books.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an exciting and funny book., January 3, 1998
By A Customer
Me and my Dad had to laugh at the part where Joe had been captured and thrown over the back of the Indian's horse, and he looked up and saw the Indian brave, and he said: "Excuse me. Hi. Hello there. Yoo-hoo. How?" We also had to laugh when they used the time freeze spell to clean up their living room!

4.0 out of 5 stars Third in the series; the formula still works, June 26, 2011

If you liked the first two books you will like this one. The fellas are still fun; the emphasis is on the adventure at hand, not some magic book angle. I can see where after this one your reader might want to look elsewhere, but these Time Warp Trio books certainly fill the gap between beginner chapter books and more demanding fare.

4.0 out of 5 stars very good book, June 5, 2009
A Kid's Review
The Good the Bad and the Goofy was a very good book. I like it because it was very funny. I kept wanting to turn the page because it was very interesting. Fred, Sam and Joe had an adventure to the cowboys. You get to learn about cowboys and Indians in history. If you want to read more you have to buy the book. I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars funny ,good and awesome, December 16, 2007
A Kid's Review
This book is the best time warp trio book I ever read. It starts with Fred, Sam, and Joe watching a wild west movie. Fred says he wants to go into the movie, and THE BOOK (a magical book that can teleport you throughout time) teleports them there. Now they have to find THE BOOK to get home. My favorite parts of this book are when there is a stampede, or the flood, or when Joe, Sam, and Fred meet an indian tribe. My favorite character in this book is Joe because he passes out too much. I don't like it when some Indian comes out of nowhere and takes Joe to his village for no reason. It was hard to believe. But later you find out why. My least favorite character is Fred because most of the time it's his fault that they get in trouble. He is also the funniest. I think this book is excellent and everyone should buy it!!!!!!!!
