Well Done--Bradley!,

This review is from: Good, Better, Best: From the Streets of Brooklyn to the Jungles of Vietnam (Paperback)
Jim Bradley has written one of the better "personal accounts" of the Vietnam War I've read to include an excellent description of "Jump School" in the 60s.
A friend of mine, Drew Dix in his book "The Rescue of River City" gives us the Medal of Honor winner's perspective of war while Bradley provides us a view of war from the "regular guy" just trying to do the right thing under pressure and go home in one piece. Bradley's version of serving our nation during war represents a hundred thousand Americans who saw actual combat in Vietnam and he does it well, especially writing about the great men of the 173rd Airborne! Well Done--Bradley! Donald E. Zlotnik, Major (Ret.) Special Forces |
