This is the first single from the much delayed new Blondie cd. It comes after the close of Beyond Records, the lawsuit from ex producer Craig Leon and the fact that this groundbreaking group has no record deal here in the USA at this moment. Signed to Sony International and Epic Australia comes the awesome new single from Blondie. Written by Deborah Harry and Kevin Griffin and produced by Jeff Bova ---this song is pure electronica that Madonna wishes she could make. It starts off with a slinky almost Depeche Mode type beginning then kicks into the falsetto vocals that made "Heart Of Glass " and "Rapture" huge dance floor dramas. The single comes in 4 versions. The first 2 are the album(4:18) and Giorgio Moroder(4:06) radio mix. They are a mixture of electro and straight ahead rock/dance. The best mixes are the full dance mixes by Dead Guys and Scissor Sisters. The Dead Guys Ghost Mix(7:14) adds hand claps,a real bass guitar, eerie backing vocals,Debbie's vocals computerized during the little rap in here to just blow that dance floor out. If you love the Motivo mix for Simply Red's "Sunrise" or the Oakenfold mix for "Hollywood" for Madonna or any really great electro track than this is your mix. Just absolutely perfect beyond words. The Scissor Sisters' Guad Myax ya Extended mix(5:15) pulls the song while still electro in vibe to a more grinding beat than the others. Added vocal bits will have you singing along. Once again at age 58 Deborah Harry not only shows how to do a dance record but just blows all other fakers to her crown away with this record. This must be a huge number one club single in the States or else. Buy now you won't be sorry.A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!!!!!

GOOD BOYS/ Great Single!,

The first single from Blondie's upcoming THE CURSE OF BLONDIE finds the band in more dance-pop territory than their 1999 NO EXIT period. GOOD BOYS, radio-ready and instantly memorable, bodes well for this fall's full CD release. The album version, a synth-heavy mid-tempo dance track with blazing guitar licks would fit comfortably alongside Depeche Mode or more recent Kylie, yet remains uniquely Blondie: distinct and indelibly cool. This CD is rounded out by 3 remixes: The GIORGIO MORODER single mix echoes Moroder's iconic Donna Summer collaboration I FEEL LOVE, while the DEAD GUYS GHOST mix takes the tune on an up-to-the-minute trip to techno/electro territory. The SCISSOR SISTERS mix winds things up with a straightforward commercial mix that recalls Duran Duran's Girls On Film or Planet Earth. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I PICKED THIS UP IN THE IMPORTS BIN AT TOWER RECORDS IN MY HOMETOWN, AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT...THE ALBUM VERSION IS A BIT SHORT AS IS THE GIORGIO MORODER MIX...THE DEAD GUYS RUB IS A BIT OF A BORE FOR ME, AS IT NEVER GATHERS ENOUGH SPEED TO PROPERLY ROCK A DANCEFLOOR...THE SCISSOR SISTERS REMIX IS EXCELLENT, PROPER TERRACE ELECTRO-PUNK HOUSE..I'VE LIKED THIS ONE SO MUCH I'M DOING AN EXTENDED VERSION FOR MY SETS!!!

The GOOD return of Blondie,
By André Ming (Europe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Good Boys (Audio CD)
58-years-old Debbie is still impressive, her voice is passionate and Blondie... just ON TOP like they've (almost) always been. In these days people want to follow the tendencies of the early 80's to feel on top and alternative. Blondie just doesn't need to do that: they carry that atmosphere and spirit with themselves. This single is at the same time new wave and disco, and at the same time 80's and 00's. Blondie is brand new and at the same time the classic Blondie we love. The song is a wonderful born-to-be-a-hit track, with a pretty melody and infectious lyrics. The single brings remixes made by Donna Summer's ¨friend¨ Giorgio Moroder, an updated 80's ¨must¨. The extended mix is just magic and must brig you to another level, where even on the dancefloor it was all about MUSIC. It's a magic return to form, much more impressive than the mega commercial hit ¨Maria¨ from their previous album.

Wait until America hears this!,

This single is one of Blondie's best. It should make it to radio, here in the states this winter. I played "Good Boys" to my three younger nieces (7, 10 and 11 yrs.) and they loved it! My five year old even loves it. This song is sure to make an impact here, unlike "Maria" did back in '98. I never understood why "Maria" was not a bigger hit in America. I guess it did not have the strong radio ready quality that "Good Boys" has. BLONDIE IS BACK FOR GOOD!

The best single yet,

This by far is the best single to ever be released by Blondie. It has a hint of the classic "Heart of Glass" and "Rapture" in a modern dance-track that is certain to be hit in any club and on the radio. It has a catchy chorus that will stick with you along with a great guitar and, of course, Deborah Harry's amazing vocal appeal. Definitely get this single!

Good Boys is Good Stuff,
This review is from: Good Boys (Audio CD)
The single "Good Boys" is yet another awesome Blondie song in their already impressive collection of innovative songs. With this new 2003 release, we find Blondie somewhere between their #1 Classics "Rapture and Heart of Glass". Good Boys has a moderately fast beat, but the overall arrangement of the song more than makes up for the speed of the musical arrangement. The remixe of Giorgio Moroder is just awesome, BLONDIE'S biggest American hit was produced by Giorgio back in 1980 from the Movie "American Gigolo" came the #1 MEGA SMASH "CALL ME". In fact the song was so big, it was the BILLBOARD #1 Song of the year and #8 of the decade. Let's hope that "Good Boys" can find similar heights with the public here in 2003. The final word, in 'Good Boys" is we find a solid song, with a great beat, creative lyrics and the vocals that no other rock star can ever touch, that of POP ICON Ms. Deborah Harry. Good Boys, is a Good thing!!! Music Trivia Foot Note: If good Boys hits #1 in America or Canada it will be the Bands 5th #1, and if it hits #1 in the UK It will be there 7th #1 Song there. VERY IMPRESSIVE....

AMAZING RETURNING SINGLE!,

This is Blondie's at their best!, one of the most enchanting songs of the 2003, this single should hit harder than "Maria" back in 1999. The retro-vibe of the music and the spelling vocals of Debbie makes this an instant classic of the club and let's hope the top 40 mainstream. Great song!

Best radio/pop/dance song of 2003 and Blondie's best single,

Got my copy in the mail yesterday and been listening to it over and over. The Scissor Sisters remix is the best of the remixes for sure and the Giorgio Morodor mix is decent, although I find myself listening to the original single version the most actually. The only thing that keeps this CD from being 5 stars is the Dead Guys Ghost mix which I think is too far from the original song and way overdone to the point where the song is barely recognizable. Can't wait for the album to come out and I hope this song gets US airplay soon because once it does it'll take off like gangbusters. This song is to 2003 what "Heart of Glass" was to 1978/79 but even better.

This song is awesome. Debbie's voice sounds as good now as it did 25 years ago. Maybe better. The guitar playing is also great, and gives a catchy pop song a harsher edge. If the rest of the album is half as good, then it is going to be great.
