5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Story
This was a very good story. The characters were well developed, as well as the storyline. It's so good to see more men stepping to the forefront and writing books about the struggles that men have when trying to find a suitable mate. This book definitely sheds some light on how we sisters sometimes overlook the so-called 'nice guys' because either he doesn't come in...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not really what I was expecting
This book read more like a collection of short stories instead of a novel. Each guy in the book had a chapter on trying to understand why they didn't have a good woman in their lives. The book was ok to read guys input on not being able to find somebody worthwhile to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Story, March 29, 1999

This was a very good story. The characters were well developed, as well as the storyline. It's so good to see more men stepping to the forefront and writing books about the struggles that men have when trying to find a suitable mate. This book definitely sheds some light on how we sisters sometimes overlook the so-called 'nice guys' because either he doesn't come in a pretty package, drive an expensive car, or has a six figure salary. Those things are nice, but they aren't a good representative of WHO these men are. I strongly recommend this book to women readers. Good job!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book for single black males who are frustrated., July 3, 1997

This review is from: Good Brothers Looking for Good Sisters (Hardcover)
I was so glad when I found this book. It finally gave a voice to brothers like myself who live honest lives, work hard, and respect their black sisters, but, for whatever reason, sisters simply don't want us. I think it's a must read for not only all of the good, single brothers out there but for all the sisters out there who want to know where the good men are. This book should give those ladies a clue

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost The Story of My Life!, April 3, 2000

After reading this book,I thought I was looking at a mirror.I'd say of the 6 men in the book,4 of them resembled myself in some way. This is the book for all single black men who have gone through the trials & tribulations of a relationship.Even though I thought "Kofi" was a bit too righteous.I really felt for "Randolph"&"Ron",2 guys who worked to get to where they're at & they are not appreciated by Black Women unless you're a hotshot executive or drive a fancy car or look like Denzel. But nonetheless if you're a single black male like myself who wants to really find out about a woman & what she's really about,This book is for you!

1.0 out of 5 stars I WANT A REFUND!!!, September 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Good Brothers Looking for Good Sisters (Hardcover)
This book is not a novel. It is a collection of poorly written short stories with unrealistic characters. I can't believe this book got published! It is extremely short (which turns out to be a blessing), written in big type on very few pages. The characters are not developed well and are just a little to "perfect" to be believable. This is the type of writing you'd expect to receive from "Ray-Ray" the misunderstood inmate who wants to write fiction on the strength of his newly acquired GED. Kunjufu should stick to "Conspiracy" books which are his forte. If you want to read good fiction written by brothers check out E. Lynne Harris, Eric Jerome Dickey, or Colin Canner.
