This book is a sweet little story of an orphan girl, who is the odd, scruffy little girl of the orphanage. Though loved dearly by the teachers/caretakers, she is never up to their expectations. When a trip takes them out of town, a "substitute" teacher helps her see that she is lovely as she is. Delightful!

i originally had no intention of reading this book, just my favorite band is good charlotte, so i was looking for stuff about them. i got the book and was bored so i decided to read it....not only is it a great book but it gives good charlotte a good name...read it and listen to good charlotte!...pa usa

I first got the book because a band I like was named after it. But then my little brother started to try to read it and it turns out that it is a very good book and was the first book that was more then 4 words that he read with me. I even liked it:)
