this band ROCKS OUT every time, September 26, 2000
This review is from: Good Charlotte (Audio CD)
If you haven't heard they're single Little Things, you don't know what you've been missing... these guys are from my hometown - little ol' Waldorf, MD, and they just put the city on the map! I've seen them play 5 or 6 times, and it just gets better. If you want a genre to slap on them, I guess you could say that they're a punk/rock/good charlotte type of band :-) They've been compared to Third Eye Blind, Eve 6, and Blink 182, but they definitely have a distinctive sound. My advice - check out Complicated, Little Things, East Coast Anthem, and Waldorf World Wide in MP3 form, and then BUY THIS CD!!!! oh yeah, and see them live if you get the chance, you won't be sorry ;-)

Punk Rock is still alive, December 20, 2000
This review is from: Good Charlotte (Audio CD)
Good Charlotte made me do the one thing i have rarely done and that is run out and bought the Cd! After hearing Good Charlotte's first single, "Little Things", i was suitably impressed. But in the back of my mind there was still the fear of wasting 17$ on a cd that contains only one good track. I'm hear to tell you that you don't have to worry about that. Like, the single and first track, Little Things, the entire album was an amazing effort by this punk band. "Waldorf Worldwide" is a great song serving as a mission statement for the band. "The Motivation Proclamation" starts slow but kicks into a powerful chorus complete with catchy lyrics that you can't help but sing along to. "East Coast Anthem" has screaming lyrics and pounding guitars that gets your blood going, along with songs "Walk By", Let Me Go", "Festival Song", and "I don't want to stop". "Seasons" starts out slow like a ballad but by the chorus the drums and guitars takes over and transform the song into another rocker. "Screamer" is just that, a wonderfully screaming punk song. The cd wraps up with the bands ballad, change, a heartfelt I-like-you-but-you-don't-know-I-exist love song that everybody has felt at one time or another. You can't go wrong with this cd; the sound is great, a perfect fusion of punk and pop, and there is something about the lead singer, josh's vocal that everyone will love.

Waldorf, Maryland's favorite band rocks on debut album, September 12, 2000
This review is from: Good Charlotte (Audio CD)
good charlotte has a lot going for them. a great fan base, good live shows, and one awesome cd. i saw them play about five months ago. my friend has their demos, and i heard the demo tapes and was knocked out of my socks. well, she got the new cd in advanced. i love it ! they have everything. good lyrics, punk rock sounding guitars, and cathcy melodies. They are a mix of modern alternative rock and punk from the 70's like the clash. i don't have a fovrite song, because they all are so great. but the one's i listen to when getting ready for school are little things , east coast anthem, and screamer. i definately recondmend this cd to anybody especially teenagers who feel they don't fit in. and i recondmend everyone goes and sees them on tour. good charlotte, no only are they "good", they know how to rock !
