If you liked the Skatenigs, you'll probably like Phil Owen and Mat Mitchell's new(er) project with Chris Gates of the Big Boys. (Newer than the Skatenigs, but still almost a decade and a half old.)This album has some serious roots in the Austin hardcore scene. Good stuff. To quote Gates, " . . . Choreboy really is punk: verse/chorus, get loud/stop. And if you come up with a good third part, start a second song."
