3.0 out of 5 stars Too bad it was edited down to nothing...., July 22, 2002

This review is from: Good Day to Die (DVD)
As the four hour Children of the Dust on television, this was an exciting and poignant story. However, for the video and DVD release, it was edited down to just two hours. Too many of the important scenes were cut, and what was left made almost no sense. I want the complete movie on DVD!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Gripping love story, January 14, 2000
By A Customer
I saw the miniseries "Children of the Dust" when it first aired years ago. I immediately fell in love with the character of White Wolf. The romance between Rachel and White Wolf should have had more screen time, yet the movie is still incredible, dealing with issues of racism, identity, and social expectations. Watch it and watch it again!

4.0 out of 5 stars They shouldn't have cut out so many scenes, September 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Good Day to Die [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have seen both this film and the mini series that was aired on TV named "Childern of the Dust". The mini series develops the characters a little more, which makes you understand the relation between Rachel and White Wolf a lot better. I sure hope that when this title will be available on DVD it will be the mini series and not this "cut" version. Which leads to the question.. Why is this title still not available on DVD ???
