This book teaches us the importance of obeying the Lord's Word, and commands. I relate it to the story of Jesus being the Vine and we are the branches. If the branches are cut off from the vine, they whither and die. Dead branches are then worthless, producing no fruit. So, then we throw them into the fire. This is what our lives are like, as Corrie shows us, apart from our Saviour, we can do nothing. She shows us how we have to abide in Him if our lives are to bear fruit and have meaning. She uses her experiences in this book, from people and the lessons the Lord taught her from her travels around the world. All of Corrie's books remain so helpful and encouraging!

The realness of Corrie's struggles as she ministers after getting out of the concentration camp are very powerful. They let the reader know about the struggles that come from every day life and serving the Lord. Corrie's wide spectrum of experiences that she shares, from meeting and forgiving one of her guards from the concentration camp to just needing to stay awake and minister when she is very tired, let you know that God is faithful in every circumstance...even the little ones.

Any book by Corry Ten Boom is very good. She lived life like we all should.This book helps better our lives.
