Lasted Less than one year,Poor Co service,Not good for the earth,
This review is from: Good Earth Lighting, Inc. G9165-WH-I Sunspot Five-Light 10-Watt Halogen Undercabinet Lighting Puck, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought a set of 5 surface mount sunspot lights. They looked great under my cabinets however after about 5 months the bulbs started to burn out. They where very expensive to replace about $5.00 each.
Now 8 months later the entire set stopped working. I determined the transformer burned out.The transformer says it has a 5A fuse. There must be one somewhere in the molded plastic goop inside the transformer, but forget it you will not find it. The transformer can not be replaced or purchased seperate. These lights are not made to last.Good Earth Company totally ignored my emails. I am forced to purchase a whole new set. Total Junk!. Old one will be in the landfill.

I have had three of the the 5 puck sets for about 2 years. Everything worked fine until now. The first reviewer did not do poor electrical work. The transformers have all started to fail. I will try to adapt 120v to 11.5 v transformers into the individual systems. We'll see what happens. The life of this product is limited. I hope this review helps.

I bought these lights and I had a transformer burn out and the company sent me out another one the next day. After 4 years I have just now had one light go out and need replaced. I love these lights and I think the guy with the bad review just had bad luck. Nobody can buy anything that will last forever anymore so these lights have held up well so far. Wish local stores still stocked these.

These lights are great...when they work. They're perfect for our needs. I've had 5 sets (one 5 light set and 4 - 3 light) spread around 3 houses for about 8 years, as undercabinet lights in the kitchen.
We love 'em.... but... I spend too much time replacing these expensive Halogen bulbs.($5-$6). Recently I had one transformer fail (the 5 light set). You can't buy just the transformer, but you can buy a one-light kit that includes the transformer. Because of the frequent bulb failures I rated my experience a 3. I see Good Earth has switched from Halogen to Xenon for bulbs in their current line, but I'm eyeing the new LED G4 replacements on ebay and other places. They use less than a watt per bulb, less heat, and cost about the same but they should last much much longer. (Make sure you buy G4 bulbs that will fit the holes of the puck fixture) After getting the LED lights I may play with using an old cell phone charger adapter as a power supply since it would only need 5 watts max. We'll see how that goes.

custom lighting - 8 under cabinet wired to microwave,

As a weekend project I wired 8 of the 10 watt halogens to the controls in range hood of a microwave spanning across six feet of cook space and cabinetry. It replaced two 40 watt above the stove lights. My wife loves the soft light of halogens rather than blue lights and cost of LED. It is still fairly low power consumption for the amount of lighting. We are happy with the product and bulbs are readily available. Dressing the cabling so it was hidden and protected was time consuming. The microwave provides a high/low/off dim control for the new lights. I would recommend these puck lights to someone.

I had these undercabinet lights in my previous house. I liked them so much that I purchased another set for my new home. Lights are bright and are easily hidden. I am sure the purchaser of these lights will be as satisified as I am!

I have the same kit, installed them under my cabinets in my kitchen. Nothing has burned out and they look great. For the price, these are perfect. Sounds like the other reviewer has done some bad electrical work. I am only on this page again because I am out to buy more.
