4.0 out of 5 stars Great Basic Cookbook January 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is a great collection of all those basic things we might want to cook. So many yummy pies, cakes and soups but also main courses and salads and veggies. There are a lot of Amish recipes, quite a few Mexican dishes and others from many parts of the world.

Recipes tend to call for easy to get ingredients and don't use a lot of prepared stuff - more of a cooking from scratch cookbook, which is what I like. It helps you make fresh food full of nutrition and goodness.

If you are looking for a book of recipes that can be a basic go-to book for most of your cooking needs, you might want to check this one out. Reading through it is a constant battle to stop reading and try recipes.
