This review is from: In Good Faith (Paperback)
What relation this book is to Paris is unknown. No direction, plot or sense - a bit like a comic book... No Thanks.

No Jay Marvin,
By A Customer
This review is from: In Good Faith (Paperback)
After reading both of Mr. Dobry's books, I've concluded one thing. He is no Jay Marvin. Dobry's writing is both mundane and lazy. Mr. Marvin's books are loaded with brim and fire. The reader actually feels as though he or she is living Jay's experience. One page of his writings has the mercury rising to 110 degrees. The next page it can easily dip to 40 below zero. Pick up "Punk Blood" written by Marvin. And be prepared for some mesmerizing story telling. Check out his poetry and art work as well. Spell-binding. When Mr. Dobry decides to take a few pointers from Jay, then maybe I'll consider buying his next book......if he writes one. Gary Dobry would do himself a favor by viewing some of the spectacular and stirring art put out by Jay Marvin as well. I know Dobry says he's an artist. Compared to Mr. Marvin, he's a small fish in a big artistic pond. Admitting is the first step to cure. Mr. Dobry should admit he's no Jay Marvin and ask Jay to give him a few pointers in both writing.....and art.
