I am amazed by the talent of a man who can write this great funny book on a taboo subject, and can also write the poignant "Love You Forever". Robert Munsch can be on my guest list any time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wiping tears from my eyes!, May 15, 1998

As usual, the author has made us look at our foibles humourously. I have purchased multiple copies of this book, and yet never have one to call my own. If you have ever heard your parents say those magic words. "nice families don't..." you will identify! Recommended reading for stuffed shirts, children, adults and farts!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for a reluctant reader!, February 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Good Families Don't (Paperback)
My daughter was in second grade and having difficulty reading. Her teacher suggested she read aloud, being a perfectionist this solution was less than suitable. I brought home this book and told her that she must read it to her father. She read the first page saw the "f" word and started to giggle. It broke the ice. Although the book didn't solve her reading problems, after reading it she was more willing to give other books a chance.
