5.0 out of 5 stars Good gardens guide, October 25, 2008
This review is from: The Good Gardens Guide: The Essential Independent Guide to the 1200 Best Gardens, Parks and Green Spaces in Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands (Paperback)
If you love gardens, love England, and love visiting gardens in Great Britain, this is your essential guide.

The book is organized by county, with listings of each public garden worth visiting in that county. A map also shows the location of each garden. The editors give the address, phone number, visiting hours, web sites and other visitor's information for each garden, followed by a description of the type of garden you'll find when you get there.

A rating system gives the editors' opinion of which gardens are especially worth visiting - but really - if it made it into this book, it's worth visiting!

I've used this guide many times to plan my trips to England, and recommend it highly. It's updated annually, but usually I just get a new one every few years.
