4.0 out of 5 stars An unsung classic....., May 9, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Good Gravy (Audio CD)
Teddy Edwards is one of the least-recognized tenor sax players from the bebop era. This is unfortunate, since his talent puts him in the top ranks of jazz musicians - Good Gravy represents some of his best work. I was introduced to Edwards' music while working with auditory research scientists - most of whom were musicians as well. Unfortunately, Teddy has generally not been recognized outside of the music intelligensia.... Edwards extremely smooth, skillful playing is a joy - after many years, I still find his music fresh and interesting....
