Book Description

From the New York Times best-selling author of She Comes First arrives the definitive guide to managing premature ejaculation – a book that could save your sex life!

Do you suffer from PE? Are you unable to control when you ejaculate? Do you ejaculate within a minute or less of starting intercourse or even during foreplay? Have you tried various methods to deal with PE, only to have your hopes dashed?Do you avoid intimate situations because they could lead to premature ejaculation—so why even bother? Do the words “stop-start” and “squeeze” make you want to scream?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, you could have chronic PE—and you’re not alone. PE is the most common type of sexual dysfunction a man can have, with many experts estimating that up to 30 percent of all men suffer from it.

But now, with new research and a new scientific understanding of PE, comes new techniques and new approaches. The program detailed in this book combines the best of behavioral, medical, and interpersonal modalities.

Ian Kerner, Ph.D, is a sex and relationships counselor and New York Times best-selling author of numerous books for Harper Collins, including "She Comes First" and "Love in the Time of Colic." His journey to counseling grew out of his own personal battle with sexual dysfunction and his desire to help others. He often addresses issues that are common to the “American bedroom” but nonetheless lead to lives of quiet desperation. Ian is a contributor to NBC TODAY, amongst others, and lives his wife and two boys in New York City where he maintains a private practice.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tons of fluff February 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
So there are some good parts in this book, you can't deny that. But it's so long! It feels like you never get to any point as to what to do about the problem.
It feels as if just getting through this piece and sort out the fluff from the necessary is a daunting task in it self (I know, youtube generation). Once you read through it all you feel like you don't remember the actual concept for getting past PE. Instead you are left with the feeling that there will be an even bigger obstacle to traverse before you can start feeling comfortable again.
Of course, there are no quick fixes but this book didn't give me that much encouragement.
Also, all of the necessary stuff is a google search away in easy-access formats.
Still, thanks for the effort. Not worth the money however

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and Insightful Read April 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Just finished this book and I must say it had some very practical no non-sense advice. I have read a few other books but I learned things in this one that I could actually relate to. The advice I particularly liked was the physical approach to overcoming PE plus the other very insightful parts like facts and insights about sex and PE. Ian Kerner debunks a lot of myths and misconceptions surrounding PE as well which I found very grounding and realistic approach to PE. I feel more confident now! This book does leave out talking about some important stuff like mentally and physically relaxing, breathing, and a few other things to help you but overall, this is a must read! The information in this book is so applicable and it was very easy to read in one sitting. I will definitely be reading it again.
