Long Live FGH!!!, August 6, 2002
This review is from: From Good Homes (Audio CD)
I love From Good Homes, always have, always will. I wish more people could hear their music, as it is some of the finest (and most fun!) music there is. Everyone I have introduced to FGH who had never heard of them before has found in them a fun, great-to-dance-and listen to band. I have seen them live, and have all 4 of their albums, and every track from every album is amazing. This, their last album, is no different. From "Kick It On" to "Goin Out" all the way to the last chord, their style and energy they put into their "hick-pop" is timeless. I often wish they would get back together, at least just to play live down at Krogh's or Waterloo. If you like acoustic rock or just appreciate a group of extremely skilled musicians who show off their talents, check out From Good Homes, while you still can. Their first album is very hard to find, and soon this and Open Up The Sky may be as well.

For the young at heart, July 11, 1999

I have seen this band since their very early beginnings and must confess they are a consistant musical joy to be had. Their songs are fill with positive messages that all ages can hear. The band is also exploding with great songwriting and musical talent. In addition, its a great CD to dance to. Enjoy it for years to come!

Sure to become a collector's item, July 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: From Good Homes (Audio CD)
This is the best and - as it turns out - the last of this great "Jersey Fresh" band. This collection captures the essence of the group, the energy, the naive joyfulness and that hard-to-nail-down style that one reviewer called "Hick Pop", a sound that has been copied by other bands that ironically went on to greater national success that the originals. It's what has kept their die-hard fans coming back for more and more, for over 10 years, and what will surely make this CD a collector's item after the "From Good Homes" Farewell Concert at Waterloo Village in NJ on August 7, 1999. For those of us who have been among the true believers, it is hard to believe that the band that produced this engaging album and all the years of great music that preceded it has decided to hang it up. An incredibly talented group that just never got a break in the toughest industry there is. Grab this album while it is still out there! It is timeless, high-energy music that you will still sing and dance to 20 years from now.
