It's good to have all of your info in one spot, easy to access, but I felt that this book was too detailed. If you want every possible base covered, this book is for you.

We moved into a new home in November 2006 and at times need to call different people or need information on put appliances. It takes time to fill out the information in the book but, it saves a lot of time and business card mess to be able to open it and find the information that you need!!! I am happy that I bought it and plan on buying a copy for my son and daughter.

This hardcover spiral-bound book that's published by the publisher of the Good Housekeeping magazine (a very useful publication that's over 100 years old, by the way!) is broken up into 9 sections separated by tabs: safety and health; family life; cleaning and clothing care; decorating; vacations, celebrations and entertaining; maintenance and repair; garden and yard; finances and car. The page containing the tab has a pocket for receipts, clippings and other items pertaining to the section being discussed, and after a 1-page introduction on what the section is about, there are several fill-in pages, like in a journal, for you to fill out with details about your particular situation.

This book is good, and by using it, it forces you to sit down and think about things a lot of people know they should do but are too rushed in their every day life to actually do - like work out a maintenance plan for the preventive care of a car, plan a vacation or work out a budget.

Don't waste your money it is a ledger that you have to fill out. No rocket sicence if you konw how to organize. What a spoof !!
