This is the all time must have book. My god mother gave it to me a few years back and I use it, honestly, at least once a week. I adore this book! It has everything you need for british cooking, from carrot and coriander soup to simnel cake to lemon curd.

This 'Companion' is necessary to any kitchen. It provides in very simple language how to prepare food into beautiful meals. It provides receipes that are easy to follow and above all they can readily be adapted for 2/4/6 or more people sitting down for a meal. Excellent, simple methods for preparing Appertisers, Soups, Meat, Poultry, Fish, Vegetables and Desserts.
