Landspeedrecord! is a baltimore based 4 piece trafficking in solid songwriting mixed with mid-tempo angular punk runk. The result is far more catchy and pop-oriented than most in this genre. While some reviews have compared previous albums to At The Drive-in, The Dismemberment Plan or Ween, the band's writing has been likened to Devo, The Talking Heads, and Weezer. But Landspeedrecord's sound is a distinctly original one. The first six songs on this "Good Housekeeping" CD were written and tracked during their "Corporate Secret".
The next 2 - "Alicia Silverstone Shame Spiral" and "I Am Sharon Tate!" were originally recorded for Amcity's "Urban Development Series Vol. 4", but the band decided to save them for this full length. The remaining 11 songs are new/re-mastered versions from their previous three out of print fulllengths: Kilki, The Corporate Secret, and Road To Flight.
This release features performances by past and present Landspeedrecord! band members: Nate Bell (Lungfish), Ron Spencer (Buttsteak, Lee Harvey Keitel Band, Swinging Swamis), Marc Berrong (Slow Jets).
