This is an impressive erotic fiction, but furthermore, it is an impressive fiction full stop. If you really can't stand the thought of reading about sexual acts I wouldn't buy it, I suppose, but the storyline unfolds in such detailed richness and vivid imagery that it takes the front seat, with the erotica being a natural part of the plot rather than something tacked on to the storyline. The characters are well written and believable, and over the course of the book you come to care for them. There are humorous moments, action and drama... and the flow of it is such that you'll always want to know what will happen next!

I am very pleased to see that this story has finally showed up, and I was happy to finally be able to support the author by paying for his work.

Extremely well written and funny, this story would make a great read even without the hot sexy scenes placed tastefully throughout.

The character are believable, and as they develop through the story, it is easy for one to start caring for them as though a friend. The pacing of the action is great as well, slowing down for character development (or sex ;) ) at all the right moments.

All in all, get it. You will not regret it.

This story is an instant classic of something we all secretly would happen to us. Very well thought and fleshed out characters lead to some fantastically described and imagined situations. It's also, very sexy too ;)

A great story definitely worth time and money.

To be honest, this book over-delivered.

Often when reading erotica, I'll love the sex scenes, but pretty much nothing beyond the main characters and their attraction towards each other (be it 2, 3, or more characters) matters much.

In this case however, I felt like all the erotica could have been removed, and I'd end up with a great urban fantasy, and if all the plot and character development was removed, I'd be left with great erotica.

This simply was way better than I expected: I'd recommend it for anyone that like either urban fantasy or erotica, and if you enjoy both, you pretty much have to read it!

This is a review of both "Natural Consequences" and "Good Intentions" which taken together comprise a 'complete' story.

Elliot Kay is a writer who has addressed multiple genres and in these two books he takes on the erotica genre. It's as if he read a stack of "bodice rippers" and then said, "Hmmmm... I can do better than that!"

One of the devices of an author to justify the extremely violent acts of a main character is to introduce that character in a scene where he or his loved ones suffer some savage treatment that gives justification for his subsequent behavior.

Kay twists this device to justify the numerous episodes of wildly gratifying sex that his protagonist experiences across the two books. In this story Kay sets up Heaven and Hell as two diametrically opposed bureaucracies and adds a touch of reincarnation, as souls are recycled into new people down through the ages. It turns out that the protagonist of the story has soul, who for thousands of years, and many lives, has suffered complete and utter failure and betrayal, at the hands of every woman he met. And now he is thrown into a situation where some cosmic re-balancing is taking place.

So there are lots of sex scenes. I mean lots and lots. David Poyer (another gifted author) wrote "The Circle", about a battleship and her crew stationed above the article circle. By the end of the book, I was amazed at the number of ways he could describe extremely cold water. Likewise, I was amazed at how many ways Kay can write so many sex scenes, and not make them boring and repetitive. It almost seems as if he set himself a challenge, "How many sex scenes can I cram into a book?

I picked this book up because of the
Author`s other book Poor man's fight, which I really enjoyed. I really was not in the mood to read a urban fantasy book, but was surprised on how quickly I was drawn in.

Lots o sex in this book, but it makes sense and didn't make me think of that fake romance novel sex. Looking forward to the sequel.

I usually do not post reviews but i felt compelled to post one here to say thank you to the author for this great and captivating story.

Despite the fact that i had already read this book once before (for free) when it was posted on Literotica when i found out it was for sale here I immediately bought it and even if it was the second time reading this story it captivated me so much that it still made me shed a few tears on more then one occasion practically reading it without pause from the beginning till the end.

You will not regret reading this.

Aside from the erotica, which was steamy but not over the top, the story here was super fun to read. The characters grew and meshed in an excellent way and at the end I was bummed it was over. Definatly a read again and again book.

Next Book?
Please let us know if a sequel is coming. I love these characters. Okay, not like Alex "loves" them, but let's say I am rather fond instead.
