Very nice,

This review is from: Good Life (Audio CD)
The Good Life is definitely a cd that will minister to all young people. It allows us to know that having a relationship with Christ a true relationship does not need to be boring. However, I do believe that there should be a difference in how our music sounds because the bible says in Lev 10:10 "And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean" you must be careful to listen to the words and not just the music for there is a message. Without an understanding of who God is, many youths who are not saved may get the wrong message on some of the tracks. Overall I did enjoy the cd and I credit this to my personal relationship with God because I could hear the message in the music. I would recommend this cd without a doubt but I encourage the listener to Hear the message in the Music and not just hear the music. Allow the words to minister to your spirit man and if you don't know Christ for yourself then allow them to help you know who God is!

This is most DEFINITELY the best CD that NW&SOP has dropped!,

Let me be the first to say that I am one of Natalie Wilson & SOP's # 1 fans. I have followed them since their very first project ("Not The Same"...when they were "The Saint Paul Sounds of Praise Chorale). "Girl Director" was good, and it still gets play in my cd player, but they have really outdone themselves in "Good Life"! I am not too big on "non-musical" interludes-but the title track is tight...as well as "Free"---but my song is, "When you need a friend"--MY GOD---I was in the gym working out on the bike when I listened to that song 6x's in a row....I am almost got off the bike and went into a "mean dance!!!!"....LOL! That song ministered to me-BIG TIME!!!! I also like- Peace & Tranquility, People (that has a nice 70's disco feel to it), and Liquid Prayer---but---"When you need a friend" is MY FAVORITE!!!!!! NW & SOP---have done a fabulous job in ministering not only in the "Melody" part of their songs---but the "Lyrics" are a series of "preaching messages" within themselves!!!! Anyone going through "the fire"--"the process"--to reach their God given destiny---This choir from "Brick City" has definetely been through some "Real Experiences"....and now they are "Free"!!!!! This cd is Anointed & Bangin'!A1C Ross Tucker- U.S. Air Force

as everyone so far has said, this CD is off the hook, beleive it. i mean if i could give it more than 5 stars, i surely would cuz it deserves it. i honestly had never even heard of Natalie WIlson & S.O.P. until they performed at my church a few weeks agohere in Oakland & i was blown away. they turned it out. their performance promted me to purchase the CD "the good life" and it is just beautiful. a refreshing & original turnaround from the stuff thats on radio today--giving you some hip/hop/r&b flavor while never losing its Christian edge/lyrics and reminders of Christ. the ballads will bring tears to yours eyes (3:16 interlude, peace & tranquility, liquid prayer, etc), the production is First Rate, the dance tracks will seriously make you want to get up (the good life, Free, conquerers), the lyrics are origianl & the vocals...well, awsome. anyway if you are a lover of gospel and/or r&b/hip hop, this CD is a must.

THE REASON I CHOSE THIS ALBUM,ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO I WAS WATCHING THE 2004 STELLA AWARDS AND I HEARED THE SONG "FREE" AND I SAID THAT I HAD TO GET THAT SONG. ONCE I BROUGHT THE ALBUM I FELL IN LOVE WITH PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THE SONGS. I LIKE WHAT I CALL R&B AND JAZZ GOSPEL. LIKE KIM BURELL, BRENT JONES, HEZ WALKER, LEXI, JAMES HALL,J.MOSS,BEN TANKARD ETC SO NATALIE WILSON IS NOW A PART OF MY COLLECTION. YOU WILL IN ENJOY IT. REMEMBER KIRK WAS NOT THE FIRST AND THE ONLY GOSPEL ARTIST TO HAVE BEAT TO IT. SO TRY NATALIE WILSON CD.

I can't recommend this CD enough. The music is full of praise and worship and you can't help but get caught up in their melodious message. I'm very picky with music and I'm fortunate enough that I didn't have to use the skip button once. An excellent buy if you truly love gospel music and love a wonderful listening experience.

SOP PARTY,

God bless Ms. Wilson and the SOP chorale for creating this album. I was convinced to get this album when the cashier at my church's bookstore had this playing, and "SOP Party" was on. All I can say is that this album is simply DA BOMB!!! There are some bumpin' up tempo tracks on this and beautifully executed slow ones. This is one of those albums that you just let play and as it winds down it you've realized that at least one track, if not the whole album, ministered to you in some way. God bless them once again!

Successfully merges Contemporary Gospel and praise of Christ,
By
This review is from: Good Life (Audio CD)
I was not impressed with their first album at all and I reluctantly purchased this album after reading the reviews on this page. This album is a true blessing. The writing is wonderful and Natalie does an excellent job of satisfying everyone on this album. Her voice is strong and the choir is excellent (I applaud her for giving other female singers the opportunity to sing lead but in some cases their voices weren't strong enough for the music...overpowered by the strength of the choir).Contemporary gospel can be hit and miss. Either it is so worldly that you can't help but be distracted from your purpose of praise or it is does not do contemporary or traditional well. This album is the best of everything. Additionally, I must admit that one of the things that convinced me to purchase this album was that the first single was produced by Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild). However, the rest of the midtempo songs on this album are much better than the first single (which is still nice-although the rap which was intentionally made to sound like one of the Notorious B.I.G.'s most well recognized lines is totally unnecessary and misplaced in gospel music and doesn't add anything to the song... but I am sure that is the result of having a song produced by a primarily secular producer). In any event, please pick up this release. I bump the fast tunes at the gym and listen to the slower tracks while at work. This is great (no phenomenal) work. Think Virtuosity by Virtue, Thankful by Mary Mary, and the Heavens are Calling by Karen Clark-Sheard. Awesome praise music.

I can always appreciate the music and writing ability of Natalie Wilson & SOP. Since my 1st being introduced to their ministry some yrs ago, It was apparent that even then, their life & testimony through song has become one of my life's treasured avenue's. When I first listened to this project I was forced to revisit "Girl Director". By the end of my listening to them both, It was clear to me that this ministry was not just releasing a record, they were sharing their most intimate, detailed relationship with God to the world, their inward growth individually & collectively in character and simply how much they enjoy "The Good Life" outside the fact that they're true overcomer's, survivors, & "Spiritual Troopers" in the body of Christ! Again, I applaud you for yet another great work!
