The Best Single I Own, August 3, 2004
This review is from: Good Life (Audio CD)
The Good Life ep oz is easily the best single I own. I'm a huge weezer fan, so I have them all and this is the best. What makes this single so good are the previously unreleased tracks and the acoustic live tracks.
The cd begins with The Good Life, a great Weezer song from the Pinkerton album. Next are the unreleased tracks Waiting on You and I Just Threw out the Love of My Dreams and they are the best two songs on the cd. Love of My Dreams, which features Rachel Haden (That Dog) in vocals, combines an energetic rhythm with great lyrics. Though Rivers doesn't sing lead, because he wrote the song from a girl's standpoint it's arguably the best Weezer song produced. Waiting on You is based on a catchy guitar lick, with a moderate rock beat and again well written lyrics. The two acoustic live tracks (The Good Life and Pink Triangle) are taped from when Weezer played at Shorecrest high, in Seattle. The acoustic tracks are great and very rare.
This Good Life cd is the one to buy, because it contains 5 tracks, unlike the Good Life single without the acoustic lives. Anyone who likes the sound of weezer will love this cd, it's a classic!

Get this!, September 16, 2008
This is one of the best Weezer EPs out there. The 2 B-sides (Waiting on You and I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams) are worth it alone. Both of these tracks were originally written for the abandoned "Songs from the Black Hole" project.
