Grandparents are special people. Somehow, they make waking up grumpy, eating your vegetables, and going to bed when you don't really want to easier. In Good Morning Sunshine, little Katie shares how her grandpa teaches her to feel better through the ups and downs of an overnight visit. Katie's grandpa wisely shows that a child's feelings are real and accepting them as real is half way to helping them deal appropriately with those feelings. That makes Good Morning Sunshine a twofer. I have read many children's books to my children over the last 20 years. I always try to find books that are easy reading and pictures which draw a little one's attention to the book. This book is just great! It reminds me of my own grandpa when I was a little girl. The author did a great job and I hope there will be more books by her in the near future!

This is a wonderfully crafted, charming, joyful children's book. I love the way it portrays the stresses in a child's every day life with such charm and innocence, especially when grandpa fixes them. A perfect gift to give to a grandpa, or for a grandpa to give to his little granddaughter. BIG THUMBS UP on this one!!!

This is a great book! It's wonderful for kids to see it's okay to be grumpy sometimes. I love the illustrations! Great colors and the Katie doll is adorable, watch how her clothes always match the little girl! Kudos to the author/illustrator!!
