As far as pornography goes, this is probably the oldest collection that you can get your hands on. This film took home a cannes film festival award a few years back because it is definately an awesome "documentary" of sorts.
The odd thing is, you can watch this movie from two angles. the first angle can be to watch this as a pornography film, and for that it offers almost everything you'll see in modern day adult flicks, and it is not devoid of anything to the imagination. It is downright hardcore in some places. You can also watch this film from a historical perspective, like on the back of the dvd case it reads "before there was sound there was pornography". It is very intersting to see that as far as porn goes, there is nothing new in modern day porn that hasn't been done before.
I would rate this dvd higher but it does seem a bit short (around 12 scenes), and some of the shorts are blurred together without much differention to when they were made between the title cards. But it is still worth repeated viewings, especially for a hillarious Animated short that predates but is reminiscent of warner brothers cartoons (ex. a man wakes up on a beach and accidentaly shoots his private off, but then it jumps back out from behind a rock and they join back together again)It is the last short on the dvd and is worth the money if just for that.

This film is highly erotic and historical. I purchased it with that curiosity of the old at the forefront of my reasoning... it was a afascinating look into life a hundred years ago. The oldest film in this collection dates back to 1905!

The people who made this collection were good enough to provide some historical background; information such as some of these films were made using legitimate films' sets and costumes. Plus, that famous directors made soem of these pornographic films, albeit anonymously.

I don't typically purchase pornography (because the computer's there if I REALLY needed it) but this is just... I don't know. I was so intriqued to see these early films. I think my interest in this collection has more to do with my interest in early film than anything else. I was surprised by how much homoeroticism is here. Plus, the cartoon... wow. I'm sure there's been a good bit of talk abotu that cartoon.

I guess it's true what "they" say, that new inventions (film, phone, the internet) are driven by sex.

This cd is several short clips of movies from the "good old days". Although it is a little chopped up in places, I found that I really enjoyed watching it. You can look at it as pornographic or as a glimps into the past. My first thought was" I didn't know they did THAT back then". But I guess what they do on film has been done since the beginning of time. I found it to be good humorus entertainment but you have to hide it from the kids.

See? Even our grandparents and great-grandparents made porn! I think these clips were made in France, but some of them are hardcore. I prefer natural bodies, and all of the bodies on this disk are natural--no silicon here! Many of the clips are funny. It was well worth the price.

The description on the back of the video is very appropriate. Basically it is more wild and more innocent at the same time. I could be wrong about this, and very few if any are alive today who could tell me, but it seems that once they broke the rules, they decided to just go ahead and break all of them! Porn today is more cynical and formulaic in comparison. It isn't really as taboo-breaking as it was back then, and it's come up with new sets of rules; the main one is that gay action can never be shown with straight and lesbian (except for the occasional specifically marketed "bisexual" porn). The total absence of homophobia was one of the most memorable things about it!

It also shows the different styles of clothing and hair that people had back then. One guy looked like a Victorian gentleman and it was pretty funny seeing him in such a position. The actors awkwardly took off layers and layers of clothing and the one sexual thing that appeared to have not been invented yet was the "striptease". Sometimes it had that silent film speeded-up style which made it comical. It was not as monotonous as some porn is today because they went quickly from one thing to the next. What I really liked was that they looked like real people, instead of the floating orbs of silicone that are common today.

It looks like it didn't take too long after the invention of video for someone to get the idea to record people having sex. That's human nature!

If you enjoy 'retro porn' you will enjoy this. Better quality than most I've seen.
If you've never watched 'retro porn' be aware that you won't find Pamela Andersons' here. Most of the woman are bigger than today's stars. Also, there are no shaved underarms or crotches.

If you are homophobic, stay away. There are a couple scenes of male-to-male oral and anal sex.
Also, there is a scene with a dog that laps both female and male crotches. Even I found it a little disturbing when the dog and a woman took turns on a guy!

Every film on this disc is highly visible with great detail especially considering the vintage of these films owing to the amazing restoration from the original negatives. I simultaneously bought the "Vintage Erotica anno 1920,'30, '40, and '50 series. There is no comparison in terms of clarilty and detail. The Good Old Naughty contains no incomplete clips, no overly contrasty scenes with legs, arms or something moving indistinguishably as "anno" has. Years ago, I found a VHS collection that was entirely black and white... no grays or other tones... because they were copies of copies of copies. Nothinig like that will be found on The Good Old Naughty Days. If this is what you're into, I can't reccommend this disc more!

Images pretty good, story lines same as now, not too much has changed. Did have some animals involved in licking various "body parts". Didn't care for that. Bought for a friend who thoroughly enjoyed it, and so did I.

it's a neat nostalgic tour - some of it is quite erotic, some a bit silly, but it's a great view of history for sure!

It is just what the seller said if your a male adult it will make you firm, if your a female adult it will make you moist. It was a good buy for the right person.
