5.0 out of 5 stars 2 year old loves this book!
We have been reading my daughter this book to her for over a year now and it is one of her favorites, she still never gets enough of it and what we love is this book is nice and short (those nights when they are really tired and you need to quickly get through 1 book) but with so much going on the pages we can even stretch it out - where are the flowers, where are the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Like The Others
I have Good Night Maine and Good Night Lake, which I love reading to my 9 mo. old, but Good Night Boston isn't like those two. The illustrations are awful - very disappointing - like cheap Japanese animation. And it seems written by someone who doesn't actually know Boston - random things are capitalized, things that should be aren't, all tourist-y stuff, etc. Not sure...

The illustrations are awful - very disappointing - like cheap Japanese animation. And it seems written by someone who doesn't actually know Boston - random things are capitalized, things that should be aren't, all tourist-y stuff, etc. Not sure why the people who make this series dropped the ball on this one - the others are very sentimental and cheerful and really make me think of Maine and the lake when I read them. Don't waste your money on this one.

We live just outside of Boston so she finds it neet to read a book that shows places she has been to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockabye Cradle of US History, September 16, 2007
This review is from: Good Night Boston (Good Night Our World series) (Board book)
This delightful little book introduces very young readers to famous landmarks and sites in Boston. It's a good teaching tool and anybody from or familiar with or just plain fond of the Boston area will love it too. Boston is the Cradle of U.S. History; it is a cultural, academic and historical mecca and this book does a nice job of introducing that to young readers!

An ideal companion book Good Night San Francisco (Good Night Our World series) because it is about the Gem of the West Coast and this one is about the Gem of the East Coast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our Go To Bedtime Story, December 19, 2010

This is the best bedtime book for our eight month old, it's short enough to keep his attention, with colorful pictures and with some of the main features that make Boston great! We've been reading it to him since he was first born and he has seemed to love it even then. We also carry it everywhere with us because if we are out at a restaurant or store, I know it will keep him entertained and busy. A great book for any parent from Boston, or even just visited Boston, I would definitely recommend to all Boston babies!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked Good Book!, January 6, 2008
This review is from: Good Night Boston (Good Night Our World series) (Board book)
My husband and I grew up in Boston, but haven't lived there for many years. My brother found this book for our daughter. She LOVES it! We have to read it every night before bed. It shows so many fun parts of Boston like the Aquarium, Boston Commons, and of course the sports teams. Our daughter gets so excited to yell, "Go Red Sox. Win the game at Fenway Park!" The length is perfect to keep the attention of our toddler. It's not only our daughter's favorite book, it's also one of ours!

4.0 out of 5 stars A little bit of home..., April 10, 2007
This review is from: Good Night Boston (Good Night Our World series) (Board book)
I was so excited to find this book. My husband and I are both originally from Boston, and to be able to read a children's "Boston book" to our son is a great way to have him experience a little bit of our past home... and to familliarize him with some landmarks he will be seeing when we go to visit his grandparents. From the Charles to the Green Monster, the book and illustrations are great!

As for all the collection I highly recommend this book, everytime we travel we try to find one of these little book about the place we are staying and our little just adores them.

The book is about the different places you can see nicely written and illustrated and since it is a small book it is very handy for little hands.

My 21 month old daughter loves this book! It is a simple read which introduces kids to the sights of Boston. I can't wait to show her more of the sights in person! I've bought copies for friends who live in New England and also Good Night Maine for my friends in Maine. I wish there were more of the New England states!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, August 23, 2007

I definitely would suggest that you flip through this book in a store before purchasing. I liked the general topic covered by this book, but was extremely disappointed when we received it and I flipped through it. Basically every page says "Good Night (Insert Boston Landmark Here)." Maybe people that are familiar with these books already know this, but with this being the first in the "Good Night" series that I have purchased, I feel ripped off.
