Book Description

October 28, 2006 Good Night Our World series
Many of North America’s most beloved regions are artfully celebrated in these boardbooks designed to soothe children before bedtime while instilling an early appreciation for the continent’s natural and cultural wonders. Each book stars a multicultural group of people visiting the featured area’s attractions—such as the Rocky Mountains in Denver, the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Lake Ontario in Toronto, and volcanoes in Hawaii. Rhythmic language guides children through the passage of both a single day and the four seasons while saluting the iconic aspects of each place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hello Chicago! July 28, 2009
Format:Board book
This is a great book for toddlers who live in Chicago or who are going to visit. The colorful illustrations about public events (baseball teams) and attractions is a great way to prep your child for a visit or to discuss what they saw when visiting!

This book is part of the Good Night Our World series and best of all a portion of the proceeds from each sale goes to support babies in need!

4.0 out of 5 stars Chicagoans will love it May 12, 2009
My son received this as a gift after his first birthday. He is now nearly two, and sits and studies the pictures, and turns the pages on his own, daily. He also selects it when we read to him. We edit in some specifics, for example adding the words John G. Shedd to the aquarium page, and we are amused by "It's nice to see you, art", but our son loves it, and it's a good introduction to Chicago, where his cousins live. It's a city he will have a chance to explore as he grows older, and we will use the book to discuss our trips there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute and educational March 27, 2008
Format:Board book
My 21 month olds enjoy pointing at the various animals and objects on each page. Later on, I'm quite sure they will be more interested in the names of the different places in Chicago. Good book to add to your collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Night Chicago
While the book isn't as good as Good Night Moon, it is a good representation of Chicago and a fun way for little kids to learn about the city.
