Goodnight Spot,
By A Customer
This review is from: Good night, Spot (Little Spot) (Board book)
This a wonderful book to use as a bed time story. Children can see that even Spot has to go to bed when he is tired. It will help them see that they need to get into the habit of going to bed when they are tired.

A classic good night puppy story,

My 9-month-old has loved this book since she was a newborn. It is short and simple, but the pages have bright colors with the cute puppy preparing for bed. He plays, baths, picks out a book and his parents read him to sleep. A classic that all babies should have in their library.

My Son's favorite thing about the Spot series are the flaps. Where's Spot? (Lift-the-flap Book) is one of his favorites and I was looking for other flap books to add some variety. This book is an okay. It's a very basic board book with a simple going to bed story that's good for younger toddlers, but there are no flaps. If you're looking for another Spot flap book like I was, keep looking. This book is fine but I can already tell that it's not going to be a favorite.

great for young readers too,

This review is from: Good Night, Spot (Board book)
My children loved spot board books as toddlers. I am so glad we saved them because now that my son is in kindergarten, I have found that these books are great "early reader" books. They have a nice story and nice pictures and simple sentences with commonly used words. They are great for building confidence. In contrast, I have been very disappointed by the Scholastic early reader series and the Step Into Reading series because the sentences are often too long or complicated and I find the word choices much too difficult for early readers. And the Bob book series is OK for easy words but the stories are mediocre. I instead am just going to get more Eric Hill books as they are fun to read and instill confidence in my young readers.

adorable board book for a bedtime story,
By Julia Shpak (NY, Brooklyn) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Good Night, Spot (Board book)
This is an adorable board book for a bedtime reading. The sentences are very simple and short with bright illustrations on the white background.
"Spot had a very busy day. / Now he is ready for bed." The little puppy, Spot, is yawning, takes a bubble bath, cuddles in a soft, cozy towel, chooses a favorite book for a bedtime story. "Good night, Spot." It's a perfect book for setting up "bedtime ritual" for babies. The size is perfect for little hands to flip through the pages (4.8 x 4.8 inches). And a curved wavy side of the book is fun to touch. Julia Shpak Author of "Power of Plentiful Wisdom". Available on Amazon. Very good book to travel with,

This is a wonderful book to read to your little one. I have a 10 month old that loves to hear this story. This book is fairly small so that I can just place it in her diaper bag and take it out when she gets cranky while we are out and about.

Really small simple book, but very cute. My twelve month old daughter loves it and can easily hold it and turn pages. There are no flaps, but she still likes it. That is saying something.

A hit with my Grandson,

My eleven month old grandson loves this book. I bought this for him when he was younger. If you let him, this book would be read fifteen or more times a day. I have to put it away to get a break from it.
It's really a joy to see and hear how much this book makes him happy. The book is simple and has large pictures and writings for easy viewing and reading. Also, it is a good size book for your little one to hold.

Really adorable, sweet and short book for under 12 months. Use this when you are introducing books. It is vivid and talks about spot the dog's bedtime routine. My daughter loves dogs and it is small enough to carry in a diaper bag. I just think it is a little pricey for such a tiny book. But overall good content. The book is now worn out and my daughter 3 months shy from turning 2 has turn the last page of this board book out. O well, it was thoroughly enjoyed while it lasted.
