I used to walk a mile to school when I was a very young boy. Over a freeway. Across the street from apartments with questionable tenants. Along a main artery. And, last I checked, there were eleven registered sex offenders within one mile radius of the old home.

And yet, a few decades later, I remain unmolested. Threatened? Yes. Emotionally scarred from that? No. Picked on by other kids? No more than any other kid in school.

I was never abducted.
I was never molested.
I obviously was not murdered.
I was never solicited.
I did not catch some plague.
I was not attacked by rabid wolves, nor did Gypsys nor the circus tempt me into running away.

There were some race issues, although as a kid, I did not recognize them at the time. But, I otherwise turned out okay (or so I think). Child abduction and molestation (and murder) is absolutely no laughing matter whatsoever. That is the ultimate fear of a parent. But kids, though a bit stupid at times, have a sense of rationality as they grow and mature in their early formative years. They can make some pretty good judgments, and hopefully will learn without being permanently damaged, from the bad decisions they make.

Again, another outstanding episode of Penn and Teller's very enlightening and hopefully educational series taking on the fears and taboos of mainstream society.

When I got lost in a store, a stranger helped me by telling me to stay by them until I saw my mother. When I saw a girl in a pool who couldn't swim, I saved her (I could swim). When I was threatened with a switchblade, I scowled; i.e. "How dare you pull a weapon on me.

Great show. Don't agree with every single episode, but that's not the point. I just wish they were able to get even more in depth, but there is only so much you can fit into 30 minutes.

This is a show that breaks down a lot of the complex issues in our everyday lives and explains them with humor. If you like to learn, watch this show.

I liked their presentations. Their sense of humor was front and center throughout the series. Despite humor, they made at least a stab at researching their topics and presenting the opinions of all sides of every issue relatively fairly, while openly showing bias towards their point of view on the topic at hand. I did not agree with ever position P&T held, but was entertained even when I did not agree.

Beware, this is not a family show--profanity and either topless or full body nudity was present in nearly every episode, all 8 years.

Great series!

For the most part they are honest in their targets and for their ability to get to the heart of the matter. However, their own atheism tends to get in the way of honest reflection and self-reflection on certain subjects. Would I still watch it? Definitely. Just like I watch South Park. If you're not offended, at least once, you're not being challenged in your beliefs. And you're not growing.

I really like the series. Many of the topics need to be exposed for the money making schemes they are. Penn and Teller are funny and insightful, but their language is just a little more colorful than need be. I enjoy the series anyhow and have watched all episodes available.
