Matt has a really pleasing voice. Lyrically, I have finally found an artist who has something meaningful to say and says it without shoving it down your throat. And the album really rocks. It takes you places. I like it a lot. Great CD to listen to while you are driving or on a road trip. Check out the song Gambling Man. I've never heard anything quite like it.

Matt gave me a copy of this at a recent show and it is just great. There is a combination of instruments that you don't hear every day and each song is well-crafted and treated as its own entity - like the Beatles used to do. It makes the CD a joy to listen to. I highly advise a purchase.

I am an old fan of Jambay (the popular jam band Matt used to be in for years- what a shame they broke up). Anyone who went to their shows knows Matt is the most amazing drummer.
This is great to hear Matt out on his own, singing and writing songs! The songs are truly original, personal, and some have a spiritual angle. "Butterfly" is a wonderful song. I agree with the other review that "Gambling Man" is the coolest song.

I heard the song Butterfly on the radio and was turned on enough to buy the CD. The rest of the songs are great too but Butterfly rocks!

I've watched Matt sit in on drumkit with Leftover Salmon and String Cheese. He's an amazing drummer and it's really cool to hear songs of his own creation with his drum vibe throughout. I bet we'll be hearing these songs on the radio for years to come. Cool album!
