Good Pet Stuff Cat Tracks

I purchased the CatIt track for my four month old kittens. They play with it constantly. When I saw this I thought they might like it. I even ordered extra pieces to make it larger. I was very disappointed in comparision. CatIt cost less than $15 per set and I bought two to join together for a total investment of less than $30. Where this is $29 plus $5 for each extra piece. A total cost of $50. This product is much louder, it is a much larger track, the track is not smooth, there are lots of rough edges, the ball doesn't roll smoothly as it has a few rough joints, and it cannot easily be moved from one area to another. Also, where the joints are seems to be where the ball usually stops and the cats cannot see it. They lose interest when they can't find the ball. It was very difficult to put together. The pieces are supposed to snap together but you really have to force them together. This is very hard plastic and is not pliable at all. There is just no give. When my extra pieces arrived and I had to take it apart to add them it was a real challenge to get them apart and then reassemble and some of the plastic splintered off. I would not try to take it apart again. I estimate it took almost thirty minutes just to add the additional pieces. Putting it together originally took as long. On the plus side it is very colorful. Might want to consider if orange matches your decor! Also, I ordered the Bergan Star Chaser ball to go in the CatIt but it was too large. It does fit rather nicely in this track and the kittens seem to like the flashing light. Overall, I will keep this and might have been happier if the CatIt had not been such a superior product. Paws down the CatIt is prefered by my kitties.

UPDATE: after two months my cats are still totally disinterested in this item. Total waste of money. The CATIT on the other hand is used daily! Much better investment.

this track is strong and survives the kitten plus a jack russell and a one year old grand baby. The kitten loves it and has no tired of it yet.
