It's a nice looking plant and although the pot is plastic it looks pretty good.

I had to move my litter box into the living room (Small Condo) and of course no one wants to see a cat going potty!
J. Rone
It is roomy enough for my tubby cats, it fits the space perfectly and looks great.

I never buy anything online without a lot of thought and research. I was in between buying this, or buying one of those furniture cabinets with boxes inside. I decided on this because it was a lot less expensive and takes up less room. I've been looking at this for awhile and read a lot of reviews about it, both good and bad.
Here's my feedback:

GOOD:
- my BIG cats (15lbs) fit in it great! It is so much easier for them than the "jumbo" sized box we used before.
- suprizingly looks good (I was expecting it to look cheap because the material is cheap, but it's not bad!)
- super easy to keep clean. (wide openning lets me scoop easily, dumping litter out and then soap/water is a quick clean overall
- affordable!!!!
- works anywhere (doesn't take up much space, can angle openning in any direction so you can change your mind where to put it, unlike the furniture boxes)
- NO ODOR: I've had it for a few weeks and it's been great! I have two cats, it's my only litter box, and NO SMELL. I can't imagine why reviewers had problems with odor unless they ignore the box for a week? I don't know. No problems here!
-SUPER FAST shipping from amazon. free with over $25 purchase, and it came in 2 days! I was pleasantly shocked :)

BAD: (not really bad but mentionable)
- unable to use litter bags (unless you want them to show) not really a prob because easy to clean(see above)
- after removing from shipping packaging the leaves take FOREVER to uncoil and straighten out. It recommends using a steamer and if i had one it would have made life easier!
- some reviewers complain it's hard to line up the top and bottom grooves.

This litter box not only looks great but works really well - we have our litter box in the living room area and you can't even tell it's a litter box, let alone smell it! It's big enough for our cat as well (18 pounder) and easy to clean.

I bought one and then another a few months later. They are easy to assemble and clean. The "pot" finish is authentic looking but the plant and wiry moss are not at all lifelike and tedious to arrange the first time. But my cats (2)(ages 8 and 9) love them, especially the privacy. I have them on small washable area rugs, one on each floor. I had previously bought one of the covered litter boxes you tilt to clean, but it was ugly and did not work well for me as it was smallish and I like to give my cats a deeper bed of clumping litter than was practical for that model.

I thought I would absolutely hate this thing...just as I hate most things. YES, I'm a negative individual who is constantly disappointed. Blame my alcoholic mother I guess.

Anyway, this litter box was a nice surprise! You see, I have 6 cats in my crappy 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Yes, six. I can't stand people anymore so I rescue cats. Only the cats don't always appreciate it, and unless I sacrifice my first born or administer a ceremonial bloodletting to appease them, they go nuts and annoy me by loudly bickering with one another and ripping each others' fur off while I am trying to watch Real Housewives! Then I start to resent them, which sort of defeats the purpose of rescuing them in the first place. But I digress.

See, cats are fussy and hard to please (we have that in common) and they are very territorial (hmmm...) I personally think they could use a little xanax in their lives...BUT since I don't have enough xanax to share, I try to keep the gang happy. Providing the right atmosphere keeps them chilled out and prevents them from kicking the crap out of any foster cats or peeing on my dead mother's antique art deco sofa (which still smells like Marlboro Reds, Black Velvet, and lung cancer).

Anyway, I'm rambling here, but the point is that multiple cats require multiple litter boxes. And litter boxes are UGLY and smelly and messy. EW! But I do love the kitter kats, so I accommodate them. I have 3-4 litter boxes in my place, and technically, I should have 6 (according to even more expert cat ladies, I am a mere crotchety cat lady-in-training) So this is a way to keep the meow gang happy and not have an exposed plastic bin of steamy lumpy corn litter 3 feet from my left. And it actually doesn't look half-bad.

Our cat box had taken over a whole closet when we decided to try this hidden box. It works great. They have no problem using it. Sometimes they play with the fake plant so I had to remove the "peat moss" topping before they had it all over the house. It's a little bit tricky lining up the lid after you clean the box but you get used to it. I use a trash bag to line it so it's easier to clean. It gets bunchy so see if you can get something that fits better. Guests think it's really cool and everyone wants one. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

I've had this thing for 6 months now, and it's really great. The cats really have taken to it, and it adds a nice amount of decor to the room.

However, a few thoughts. First, over time, it warps. It's hard to get the top to stay on the bottom part.

Second, caring for the litter is a PAIN. Filling the entire bottom part with litter works okay, but then when it's time to change the litter? It's a ridiculous task: the base is larger than large garbage bags, and there's no easy spout. Once I messed up and... let's just say it was a VERY scarring experience. Now, I have a small litter pan inside the thing, which the cats sometimes find a bit *too* small if you catch my drift. But it's still better than nothing.

Third, it's too small to hold these automatic litter boxes I've been hearing so much about.

If I had a time machine, I'd probably tell my past self that this is a good purchase, but I could get the same effect by putting a table over a standard litter box, and putting a REAL plant (or plants) on that table! Tadahhhh....
