I never buy anything online without a lot of thought and research. I was in between buying this, or buying one of those furniture cabinets with boxes inside. I decided on this because it was a lot less expensive and takes up less room. I've been looking at this for awhile and read a lot of reviews about it, both good and bad.
Here's my feedback:

GOOD:
- my BIG cats (15lbs) fit in it great! It is so much easier for them than the "jumbo" sized box we used before.
- suprizingly looks good (I was expecting it to look cheap because the material is cheap, but it's not bad!)
- super easy to keep clean. (wide openning lets me scoop easily, dumping litter out and then soap/water is a quick clean overall
- affordable!!!!
- works anywhere (doesn't take up much space, can angle openning in any direction so you can change your mind where to put it, unlike the furniture boxes)
- NO ODOR: I've had it for a few weeks and it's been great! I have two cats, it's my only litter box, and NO SMELL. I can't imagine why reviewers had problems with odor unless they ignore the box for a week? I don't know. No problems here!
-SUPER FAST shipping from amazon. free with over $25 purchase, and it came in 2 days! I was pleasantly shocked :)

BAD: (not really bad but mentionable)
- unable to use litter bags (unless you want them to show) not really a prob because easy to clean(see above)
- after removing from shipping packaging the leaves take FOREVER to uncoil and straighten out. It recommends using a steamer and if i had one it would have made life easier!
- some reviewers complain it's hard to line up the top and bottom grooves.

This litter box not only looks great but works really well - we have our litter box in the living room area and you can't even tell it's a litter box, let alone smell it! It's big enough for our cat as well (18 pounder) and easy to clean.

I love this litterbox as much as somebody could love such a smelly nasty pot of kitty excrement. It cuts down on the smell, my XXL Maine Coon mix (18-20lbs...I uploaded a picture to the product of him lounging in it when it was first unpacked) cat fits in it, it's not totally ugly, and contrary to what some people say...it is easy to use. My only hesitation when I purchased it was from people who said it warped over time and the top was difficult to put on after scooping. I don't know what issues they must have with spatial dimensions but it's SO EASY to put on that I keep thinking I must have put it on wrong only to double check and find out that YES, it did lock in the very first time I set it down. I've had it for 8 months and it has not warped in the slightest. I'm actually placing an order for a second one right now!

This thing is amazing...it turns the foul concept of an inexorably offensive, visually repugnant box of coagulated urine and feces into a form of art. Seriously though, this litter box is a wonderful invention, and our place looks SO MUCH BETTER than it did before with the plain old litter box. Before, you walk in and you're like...ew...there's a litter box just chilling in the corner...how wretched...& now, the thought of a litter box doesn't even cross your mind. The top is NOT difficult to work with at all, you just have to start at one end while supporting it, and work your way around until it's completely snapped on. For those of you taking apart & "Disinfecting" your litter box every week...you reallllllly should pick up a microbiology text book and save yourself all of your neurotic, germophobic obsessive behavior...you are NEVER, and I mean NEVER going to rid a litter box of its billions/trillions of microbes. Bleaching it, in fact, would only reduce the bacterial population from 10^30th to 10^29th...I mean come on people, get a grip, litter boxes are dirty, period. Cleaning this thing every month or when it's clearly in need of a good scrub is more than enough. Also, you do not need to take it apart to scoop out the soiled litter, you just reach in with the scoop and grab it...I would say that a longer scoop would be helpful from that standpoint.

The only thing that is terrible about this thing is the Ferns...they looked terrible, & screamed "CHEAP," no matter how much I fiddled around with them...so I went to the craft store & picked out a different kind of silk plant that I liked...The hole that you shove the ferns in will accommodate almost any bunch of silk plants, so you can feel free to swap them out for whatever you want-I posted a pic of it.

That's really all there is to it...it's worlds better than your typical scat box.

Ben

I thought I would absolutely hate this thing...just as I hate most things. YES, I'm a negative individual who is constantly disappointed. Blame my alcoholic mother I guess.

Anyway, this litter box was a nice surprise! You see, I have 6 cats in my crappy 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Yes, six. I can't stand people anymore so I rescue cats. Only the cats don't always appreciate it, and unless I sacrifice my first born or administer a ceremonial bloodletting to appease them, they go nuts and annoy me by loudly bickering with one another and ripping each others' fur off while I am trying to watch Real Housewives! Then I start to resent them, which sort of defeats the purpose of rescuing them in the first place. But I digress.

See, cats are fussy and hard to please (we have that in common) and they are very territorial (hmmm...) I personally think they could use a little xanax in their lives...BUT since I don't have enough xanax to share, I try to keep the gang happy. Providing the right atmosphere keeps them chilled out and prevents them from kicking the crap out of any foster cats or peeing on my dead mother's antique art deco sofa (which still smells like Marlboro Reds, Black Velvet, and lung cancer).

Anyway, I'm rambling here, but the point is that multiple cats require multiple litter boxes. And litter boxes are UGLY and smelly and messy. EW! But I do love the kitter kats, so I accommodate them. I have 3-4 litter boxes in my place, and technically, I should have 6 (according to even more expert cat ladies, I am a mere crotchety cat lady-in-training) So this is a way to keep the meow gang happy and not have an exposed plastic bin of steamy lumpy corn litter 3 feet from my left. And it actually doesn't look half-bad.
