The author Wayne Froggatt who also wrote 'Choose to be Happy' is eminently qualified in his chosen subject. He is both extremely professional and highly credible. His belief is that we all want to feel good and avoid discomfort so we should handle life in ways that help us to do this. He believes in the minimising of distress and the maximising of goodstress. -- LOCAL RAG, 6 November 1997
This is a very professionally-written book that explains in a clear and practical manner how anyone can recognise and deal with stress in their daily lives. Among self-help books I'd rate this highly. It is easy to read, and its 256 pages seem to cover all the causes and cures anyone could think of. -- FREELANCE, December 1997
Written in the same vein as his previous book 'Choose to be Happy' (a bestseller), the author shows how to recognise stress and formulate powerful strategies for making the most of what life throws at us.
I liked the way the text was set out in a step-by-step way with the use of lots of headings and practical examples. For those who have access to the Internet, a selection of sites on the Worldwide Web is listed at the end of the book where you can find free information relevant to most of the chapters - this is a real bonus when you see the range of topics covered. I'm increasingly becoming a fan of Wayne Froggatt's style of writing with clear, incisive thoughts and his lack of waffle. Definitely another bestseller here. -- DAILY TELEGRAPH, 8 January 1998

Discover the Twelve Rational Principles of stress management
Develop the practical skills for getting the most out of life
His first book, Choose to be Happy, continues to be a best seller. Now Wayne Froggatt applies his method of personal psychotherapy to one of the greatest afflictions of modern living - stress. Or, more accurately, distress. For not all forms of stress are harmful. In fact, some are positively beneficial and essential to our survival and happiness - in other words, goodstress.
We all want to feel good and avoid discomfort, to boost pleasure and reduce pain. Stress management is about handling life in ways that help us do this - that minimise distress and maximise goodstress.
In the rational, step-by-step manner that made his previous book such a success, Wayne Froggatt explains how to recognise and diagnose stress, provides a firm foundation for effective stress management, and formulates powerful strategies for making the most of whatever life throws at us.
