Faze-O emerged from Dayton,Ohio alongside a string of other popular era Ohio Funk bands&artist ranging from The Dazz Band,Roger&Zapp,Bootsy&Catfish Collins,Bobby Womack,SUN,Lakeside, and Faze-O's mentors The Ohio Players. Based in Chicago the group was produced by Clarence Satchell of The Ohio Players and the band usually opened for the players while on tour during this period. The group consisted of Keith Harrison on keys,Ralph "Love" Aiken Jr on Guitars,Tyrone "Flye"Crum on Bass,Robert Neal Jr. on percussions, and Kevin Parker on Drums all group members shared vocals. The title track opens the set with an infectious groove steeped in Ohio Funk. "Who Loves You" blares a sharp horn section longside a consistant groove that pulsates from start to end. The influences of the Ohio Players time tested production style is evident on each cut as the band runs thru each track with a precise horn arrangement guided by a driving rhythm section and fine vocals. Originally released on the SHE records label in 1978,this Japanese release although remastered only features the song lyrics in English. Faze-O produced three albums during their late 70's to early 80's run and this release is a welcomed reissue.

Faze-o was one of the hottest groups in the 1970's. "Good Thang " is still one of my favorites from years past. I still love the beat of it today and I am still jamming to it. I am glad it came out on CD, I had been searching for the album for a very long time.
