Epic Soundtracks was the genius behind Swell Maps. He later showed up in some bands with Rowland S. Howard (of The Birthday Party). Epic sabotaged the These Immortal Souls recordings, and that band never took off. His solo work is pretty interesting. It's a little folk inspired. It's very quiet music. It's mostly just vocals and guitars. It sounds like a home recording. Epic Soundtracks was found dead in his apartment on November 22, 1997. This record is what they found. Epic Soundtracks is a curious fellow, but I don't think a lot of people will check it out.
