They work great for me!!!!!,

I received the three tier candle in pewter yesterday. The pewter base is actually plastic but does not appear cheesy. I like the fact that they are run by battery and they give off a great amount of light. They all flicker in unison or stay lit steadily depending on how you set the switch. I also like the fact that they are not electric and don't have to worry about leaving them on or getting hot, etc. I've purchased many electric type candles which have only a 90 day lifespan according to the label and the cords are made with lead which they also warn on the cord. I recently spent $50 on the electric candles from Brookstone which cannot be used past 90 days. (not noted in the catalog) My intention was to keep them for years to come, but this battery powered set works great for me and I can keep using them without disposing them/throwing money away. The lights are LED which means there are no bulbs to change either. The price is good as well and depending on how long you use them, batteries are the only thing you will need to buy (3 D size batteries).

received one set as a gift. Liked them so much we bought more. Battery operated means no cords hanging from the window. They are light sensitive so they go on and off automatically or can be turned off manually. Can set to flicker like real candles. Overall a very safe, no hassle Christmas decoration.

I love these candles! The base looks like plastic but is not unsightly. I put them in my windows a month ago on flicker mode and they're still going strong. I especially appreciate not having to turn them on and off so I can place them in less accessible places. They make a nice match with the single candlesticks. No more cords for me!Good Tidings LED Single-Tier Window Candle with Light Sensor, Antique Finish

Only a hint of orange and much prettier than the bright white!,

I have 9 of these lights and would buy them again. I'm not sure what a couple of the viewers meant when they stated they looked like Halloween lights. The antique electric Christmas candles that I remember had orange bulbs which were used for Christmas and are still displayed in households today. These candle lights are NOT bright orange but have a soft orange tinted glow that are much more beautiful and realistic looking than the bright white bulbss that definitely look fake. I have small 2" wide window ledges and I don't have to use the holders that come with them. Definitely a 5 star rating from me!

Only 2 of the 3 lights would come on automatically at dusk. However, manually turning it off and then on would get all 3 to work (huh?). But all 3 never lit on their own. It was returned - no hassle, no expense, to Amazon for a refund.
I have several of the single lights and they work fine. Be advised that they're not very bright looking from the outside but I love the soft glow they give inside my home. The heavy batteries in the base make them very stable on the windowsill. The batteries seem to last about 4 - 5 weeks - enough for the Christmas season.

I purchased two and used them side-by-side in my kitchen window. They performed as advertised, going off and on automatically. The "pewter" (plastic) base looks very good for the price, and I especially like the flickering effect.

These things work great. I use rechargable batteries so I don't have to keep buying new batteries. They go off on their own during daylight hrs and flicker nicesly at night. From outside the house (I have them in windows) they look natural and beautiful.

I bought six of these for my windows this season. They all worked great. No cords, and the light sensor turned them on and off. Will use them for many seasons to come.

Was looking for window candles without all of the problems with electrical wires and timers. Previously tried battery operated ones without LED's or light sensors and they only lasted a few days.
The Good Tidings LED Three-Tier has been great. It worked exactly as described, put out good light level, and the batteries lasted the whole holiday season. In fact when I finally took them down, the batteries and light level were still strong. I highly recommend. In fact, I went back and bought more to expand my usage next year. Only one negligible problem. They can be set to be full on or to flicker like a candle. While the flicker is a nice effect, I found that often the light sensor wouldn't turn the candle back on if it was in flicker mode when it went off. This was easily addressed by leaving it in full on mode.

nice lights, but all lights won't come on if I set the sensor on flicker. When I set it on constant and all bulbs come on at dusk.
