Product Description

Product Description

This Good Tidings Cape May Fir tree will add warmth to any room. The 7.5-foot artificial tree is pre-lit with 750 clear lights. It's constructed of hinged branches, so you don't have any lights to hang or branches to attach before decorating with festive ornaments. All 2514 tips feature flame-retardant, crush-resistant PVC needles that retain their shape through many busy holiday seasons. They resist fading, and their sculpted tips provide a finished yet natural look. The sturdy metal base and trunk eliminate tipping under heavy loads, and the heavy-gauge wire branch construction eliminates sagging when the tree is fully decorated. Twist-proof bulbs lock in place, so the light set won't fail because of one faulty bulb. Included with the tree is a reusable carton that eliminates needle crushing and make storage simple. This Good Tidings tree is covered by a five year limited warranty.

This review is from: Good Tidings Cape May Fir Artificial Prelit Christmas Tree 7-1/2 Feet Tall with 750 Clear (Kitchen)
I bought this last year during the after Christmas clearance. I knew I should have taken it out of the box and tried it out but my husband packed it away with the other decorations in the attic before I had the chance. When we unpacked it this year, I was really disappointed. The tree was OK but nothing special; certainly not better than what we had before. The branches fold down and that is OK except some of them were already bending down the wrong direction. My old tree had that problem but that was after 6 Christmases with a cat climbing through it, not straight out of the box. But the worst thing was the lights. I bought this to keep from having to restring lights every year. My parents have a beautiful pre-lit tree where the lights were obviously built in with the tree. The wires are hard to see and the tree is so pretty. This one however looks like the Good Tidings folks bought a bunch of cheap trees and hired a bunch of temps to string lights on them so they call them "pre-lit" trees. The lights are so poorly strung, we had to pull them all off and redo them ourselves, defeating the whole purpose of buying a pre-lit tree. The wires were hanging down all over and the lights were not spread out evenly at all. I wish I had opened the box last year so I could return it. Even for the steal of a deal that I paid, it was not worth the hassle of restringing the whole tree again. I feel for folks who paid full price for this one. I have learned my lesson and will only buy trees I can see in person. Ugh!
