5.0 out of 5 stars Blazing, February 27, 2002

This review is from: Good Time Girl (Harlequin Blaze) (Paperback)
Roxanne Archer has been a good girl all her life. Now that's about to change. She has left the safety of her Connecticut teaching job for the adventure of the pro rodeo circuit. Determined to have her last hooray over her summer break, Roxanne (a.k.a. Roxy) scopes out the cowboy `candidates' for her ideal summer fling- enter Tom Steele.
Armed with a fake San Antonio accent she sets out to pick up Tom at a local honky-tonk. It works, and soon the two are ensconced in a motel room going at it like bunnies. Roxy doesn't realize that Tom has his own agenda. He is making this his last season on the pro rodeo circuit before he hangs up his spurs and settles down. This is his last chance to find himself a good time girl.
The two enjoy their tryst so much that they make a pact to continue the `fling' for the summer, no strings attached; which would have been fine, except their hearts refuse to cooperate.
This book is a fun read, sassy, sexy, and outlandishly steamy. If you like your romances hot, hot, hot, then you'll enjoy Candace Schuler's latest effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Blaze Book that's ** Hot** Like a Blaze Book Should Be!!!, July 7, 2003

This review is from: Good Time Girl (Harlequin Blaze) (Paperback)
This book was steamy from beginning to end. It's one of the hottest Blaze books I have ever read. And, as regular Blaze readers would know, Blaze books tend to be very graphic and intense. I read about 4 or 5 books a week and keep very few of them, however, this book made it onto my shelf of keepers. Some of the scenes were so intense they're tatooed on my brain. Take my advice -- do not read this book right before you go to bed if you are intending to sleep. Do not read this book unless you have enough time to read it from cover to cover. It is THAT good!

5.0 out of 5 stars SHE NOT ONLY HAS A GOOD TIME, SHE HAS THE BEST TIME!, February 25, 2002
This review is from: Good Time Girl (Harlequin Blaze) (Paperback)
This is the way the Blaze titles should all be written! It starts hot from the first page when the heroine struts her stuff across a honky-tonk parking lot in search of her "good-looking dangerous cowboy" she plans to have a summer fling with to the very last page when the HEA happens. These two come on hot and heavy and keep the heat throughout the book. This is the kind of summer fling most of us secretly wish we had the guts to go out and have! The story is H-O-T, sexy, funny, and keeps you wishing for more. I hope Ms. Schuler has more stories like this in her future.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best Blaze ever!, January 1, 2006
This review is from: Good Time Girl (Harlequin Blaze) (Paperback)
Starting with the best (and hottest!) pick-up scene I have ever read, this story just kept getting better as these lovers get to know each other on more and more levels. Very well written, nuanced storyline with a dry sense of humor, a likable cast of characters, believable conflicts, and excellent dialog.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a keeper, March 2, 2003

Roxy (Roxanne) Archer is tired of her good-girl reputation and sets out to change it. She makes herself over, and hits the bars, the object of her desires already in sight. After an incredible night with handsome cowboy Tom Steele, Roxy can't bear to part with him, and suggests a summer long fling - no strings, just hot sex. But as the end of summer approaches, can either stand to let the other go?!

I absolutely loved this book. It would have to be my all-time favourite Blaze novel. The sex scenes were extremely hot and I loved seeing Roxy and Tom grow closer and closer.

I recommend this to every romance reader.

This was my first Blaze book, and it won't be my last. The book was very good right from the start.Roxy was just to funny and Tom was a great role for a cowboy.I loved how Roxy had planned how to get her cowboy. And the way they met was to funny for words. The sex scenes were not only steamy and hot they were also touching and also fun.We should all have a summer like that to remember...Isn't it grand when lust can turn into love.I am passing this book to all of my girlfriends, and so far they all love it too.I can't wait until I read my next Blaze book.

This was a great fun book ! Roxanne Archer is a East Coast teacher on summer vacation who decides to become a bad girl and find herself a hot cowboy. She sets her sights on Tom Steele who has decided this is last year to make it to Rodeo finals in Vegas. I love how their relationship grew and changed -- let me with a smile.

If you enjoy this genre I would also suggest;Make Mine a Bad Boy (A Deep in the Heart of Texas novel) , I Love This Bar , One Hot Texan (Temptation, 854).

Seriously, this was one of THE hottest Blaze books. I loved the three little snippets of the sex scenes (there are other full love scenes), but wished they would have expanded off of those, they were definitely hot.
