These two musicians compliment each other with their fantastic harmonies and ad libs. Their ability to "feel" what each other is playing, and then "add" their own imput to those musical statements certainly enhances the music for the listener. I hope I can find other cds done together by Hirt & Cannon.

This is a superb album. If you are an Al Hirt fan,you will love it. Al is in his early 1960's top form.He also plays with rich expressivness utilizing a very pretty vibrato and wonderful phrasing.Al is in good company on this album,it drips musicianship through and through-Ace (sax) and Al benefit from great arrangements(Anita Kerr?) which not only display the soloists but I think inspire them while maintaining the integrity of the music as a whole.There are no weak numbers!It's a find and a gem.

Ace Cannon is one of my favorites. Put him together with Al Hirt and you have a BIG WINNING TEAM that can't be beat. I love to listen to him and plan to do so for a long time to come.
