Book Description

October 2, 2009 The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly
Are you ready for the real story of the Detroit Red Wings? One of the NHL s Original Six, the Red Wings have seen their share of legends and goats, great comebacks and colossal disappointments, Stanley Cup championships and heartbreaking losses. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Detroit Red Wings is a must for every fan who wants an unflinching look at the greatest and the worst players, coaches, and moments in Wings history!

I ve never seen any reason to go anywhere else. I really like it on and off the ice. I have great teammates and a great coaching staff, owners who know will do whatever it takes to have a good team every year. I don t see any reason why I shouldn t stay. I love it here. I want to be here forever. Henrik Zetterberg

We looked out of gas pretty much all series. We competed, and I thought we tried. But I never thought we got to the level we d have liked to go. The guys that were injured on our team this year never got their game back to the level it could be. And they were significant players to us. Mike Babcock on the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals

It s a tremendous honor for me. I don t think about myself as being amongst them. Those are the player that built the league and guys that I admire, and I don t know that I could ever reach the level they re at in my own eyes. Steve Yzerman on having his jersey retired by the team in 2007

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read, February 10, 2010
This review is from: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Detroit Red Wings: Heart-Pounding, Jaw-Dropping, and Gut-Wrenching Moments from Detroit Red Wings History (The Good, ... and the Ugly) (The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly) (Paperback)
As a Wings fan I found this book a good read. It speaks in very general language, probably because it is part of a series than spans many sports and organizations. It is still nice book with a lot of facts that a casual Red Wings fan would find interesting, but a more hardcore fan would find obvious.
