Cooking on a slow burner!, December 29, 2003

A terrific set of blowing blues by piano great Copley and members from the Fabulous Thunderbirds. You drop into an intimate after hours jam session where Copley takes center stage and the other fine musicians sit in with superb supporting licks and a willingness to be in the swinging backround. Count Basie must have been an influence, along with Professor Longhair, as they would refer to this set as "cooking on a low burner". Mighty fine bubbling blues.
