This is a hilarious gag gift for a bride... Some of the advice is not only soooooo outdated but June Cleaver herself would have gasped! This book is a staple in my bachelorette gifts.

This is a laugh out loud walk through the past -- the book is filled with retro photographs of couples from the 1950's. A great book to pull out in a party of married couples. Husbands will run for cover, while the women scream with delight. A great bridal shower gift.

This is a 1950s circa guide on how to be the perfect wife. There are numbered rules such as "Sing HIs Praises" and "A Wife's Duty". The topics are hilarious and the pictures are great, too. I got this for my niece for her bridal shower, I am sure it will be a hit. It is hard bound (all the pages, not just the cover) and well worth the $10. I just noticed there is a perfect husband guide, too, that will be on my next amazon order.

My baby sister is getting married! This book is going to be her guestbook for people to sign at her bridal shower. The rules are very cute but very old fashioned. I also made a game for the shower around these rules. It will make for a few laughs that's for sure. Don't forget to have your hubby's slipper and dry martini waiting when he arrives home from work, and seeing him IS the pinnacle of your day, you know? (Provided the house is sparkling clean and the ironing is done!) Also, this is a boardboard and very nicely made.

This is a hilarious book and should be given to every bride from their husband on their wedding day. It has a 100% guarantee to make the bride laugh and no one will be controversial to this book. It is one of my favorite books and I sure wish my wife would be like that.

I purchased this for my future daughter-in-law's shower and then used it as the guest book. All the ladies signed on different pages and added their own words of wisdom. We had a blast! Worth every penny...

I gave this to my friend at her bachelorette party. Everyone who was there wanted to flip through and read it! This makes a great gag gift!

Thank God we don't have to live by these rules today -- but there's nothing better than to laugh at the customs of decades gone past. This is a read out loud book for bridal showers and everyone of all ages will LOVE this book!

Great book !! If women stayed home and took care of their families, our society would be a much better place. This book might be controversial, but it brings to mind the manner in which America became a great nation.
