Well, not too easily, but yeah, they should be able to pick it up. And dont let the T rating fool you, it should be more like E10+ (Unless your not from the US or Canada, then you have a diffrent rating system). But, this isnt a traditional Mario game. Its more of a bloodless fighting game with characters from video game franchises like Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Sonic, Kirby, Pokemon, etc. So, with some exceptions, it should be alright for your kids.
glad to hear it's not too realistically violent ... just picked this up this a.m. & I do have a 6yr. old . he loves his SMG & The new SMB ... he's a fairly skilled game player & as there is apparently no blood & gore in this, I will likely let him play ... have yet to load it myself & see. thanx for the input.
It is good for 6 and up (though if the 6 year old is no mature wait til 7) I played melee (game cube one) when I was 6 and loved it ( I wish my sister would still play with me) I'm 12 now and trying to decide to buy this one, but from in the story & reviews it sounds like a beter melee. (does not show blood or killing)
