A Tough Habit To Break

When one decides it’s time to quit smoking, it can be incredibly hard. GoodSense can give you the props you may need. GoodSense Nicotine Prolacilex Lozenges, in either 2 mg or 4 mg doses, reduces withdrawal symptoms, including nicotine craving, associated with quitting smoking. And since it’s a store brand equivalent, GoodSense Nicotine Prolacilex Lozenges help you fight the nicotine cravings for less than the name brand. GoodSense is a smart option when you’re ready to put your relationship with cigarettes behind you.

Directions

If you are under 18 years of age, ask a doctor before use. No studies have been done to show if this product will work for you. Before using this product, read the enclosed User’s Guide for complete directions and other important information. Begin using the lozenge on your quit day. If you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use 4 mg nicotine lozenge; if you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use 2 mg nicotine lozenge according to the following 12 week schedule: Weeks 1 to 6, 1 lozenge every 1 to 2 hours; Weeks 7 to 9, 1 lozenge every 2 to 4 hours; Weeks 10 to 12, 1 lozenge every 4 to 8 hours. A nicotine lozenge is a medicine and must be used as directed to get the best results. Place the lozenge in your mouth and allow the lozenge to slowly dissolve (about 20-30 minutes). Minimize swallowing. Do not chew or swallow lozenge. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation; occasionally move the lozenge from one side of your mouth to the other until completely dissolved (about 20-30 minutes). Do not eat or drink 15 minutes before using or while the lozenge is in your mouth. To improve your chances of quitting, use at least 9 lozenges per day for the first 6 weeks. Do not use more than one lozenge at a time or continuously use one lozenge after another since this may cause you hiccups, heartburn, nausea, or other side effects. Do not use more than 5 lozenges in 6 hours. Do not use more than 20 lozenges per day. It is important to complete treatment. If you feel you need to use the lozenge for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your health care provider.

All in all, a well priced alternative that seems to work.

These don't taste good, they don't feel good in your mouth, they have the same bite as any other nicotine replacement.

I have tried Nicorette, Walgreens brand and the CVS brand lozenges and thought I'd check Amazon to see what options they had. I took a gamble and ordered these and was surprised to discover they are the exact same type of lozenge sold by CVS! They don't have the same bite as Nicorette and the Walgreens brand and are sweeter, but I prefer them. I was delighted to find these because they're half the price I was paying for the EXACT same product from CVS. Now with CVS suspending sale of tobacco products, I'm not sure if that also means NRT products or not, but I'm glad to know I will be able to still find the brand I like.

I've been on NRT since October and am afraid I'm addicted to these things, but better these than cigarettes, right? They really do satisfy my cravings; I've not desired a cigarette once since taking these, but wish I could kick them. I've been able to reduce the amount I take a day by alternating with wintergreen altoids which have a similar taste and texture.

Best of luck to all of you on your tobacco free journey!

I give this product 5 stars because ultimately it does what its supposed to do. That being said I disagree with their method of determining the dosage you need for example they suggest that if you smoke your first cig within 30 min of waking up, you need the 4mg lozenge whereas if you smoke after, u need the 2. It would be smarter to ask how many cigarettes you smoke a day because each cigarette only has 1mg of nicotine and this 4mg lozenge is truly overkill at least it was for me. I would choose dosage based on how often and how many per day you smoke rather than how soon after you wake up.

I'm a smoker who has tried patches and gums. In my opinion there is nothing better to help you quit smoking than these lozenges. e-smokes just perpetuate the habit. Just take them whenever needed. You will need them less and less as the days and perhaps weeks go by. No need to force it. Just take them whenever needed. You will gradually wean yourself off them. All you need is a minimal commitment to quit which is all smokers can initially give. Definitely worth it.

Works great! I have been using them for almost a week now. Although I still have strong cravings at times, these have completely replaced cigarettes for me and lessened my withdraw symptoms. I am on my way to being 100% smoke free and I credit it to these lozenges.

The only thing I will say is that they do not dissolve in 20-30 minutes, at least not for me. I have yet to fully dissolve a single tablet in my mouth. The longest I have left one in for is two hours. Even after two hours the lozenge was not completely dissolved. I personally don't mind, because it helps to cut down on the amount of cravings I have throughout the day. The strongest craving I get now is first thing in the morning. I put a lozenge in as soon as I finish m morning routine. It takes up to an hour for that first craving to subside, but after that, the cravings are tolerable throughout the day.

I do not take these on a regular (every two hour) basis as suggested. Like I said they take about that long to dissolve for me, so I would always have one in my mouth that way. Instead, I only use them when I feel a craving coming on or if I am about to enter trigger situation. I am hoping this will help me to not become dependent on them in the long run.

I would definitely recommend these! I was a pack a day smoker for 6 years. I still smoked the first day I began using them, when my pack ran out, I didn't buy another. I have been smoke free for 5 days now. I tried to smoke a cigarette yesterday and actually got dizzy after a few puffs. It actually made me sick to my stomach...hooray! progress :)

I'm very happy with this product. I've tried patches and gum a number of times, but I think this is my favorite nicotine replacement therapy. The gum made me nauseated, but I don't have that problem with these lozenges.

They are a little bit slimy when they get wet and the taste isn't awesome, but you ideally don't want something yummy that you want to keep eating. The idea is that you use less and less and step down until you aren't addicted to nicotine anymore.

One thing to keep in mind before purchasing is that you need to wait about twenty minutes after eating or drinking before using a lozenge. It can cause stomach upset if you don't wait. If that doesn't work for you, you may want to try the patch instead.

Good luck!

Good Sense Nicotine Polacrilex Lozenge sucks and tasted like original Nicorette Lozenge, but it costs half as much per piece in comparison to the latter. The package contains 72 lozenges. The recommended dosage is 1 piece every 1-2 hours in weeks 1-6, 2-4 hrs in weeks 7-9, and 4-8 hrs in weeks 10-12. So, 1 package will last for less than 4.2-8 days in weeks 1-6, 8-14.5 days in weeks 7-9, and 14.5-24 days in weeks 10-12. It is definitely a good buy.

I quit smoking years ago and swore I’d never become a “reformed smoker” and thankfully haven’t. There’s still a smoker in the house who is willing now and then to use the lozenges, his stop smoking aid of preference.

It’s definitely not easy to quit smoking. Been there, done that. There’s always that particular time that just may work for someone. Perhaps not this time, but maybe the next. It’s totally up to the person quitting, but I do like to keep these lozenges on hand just in case that might be coming up.

The comparison has been made to the Nicorette Lozenges so I simply put the information below so you can compare. The Nicorettes, at this point in time are approximately $54 for 72 lozenges, the Goodsense approximately $34. Which would you choose?
