This was a lovely collection of poems about losing one's animal friend. I bought it right after I lost my best doggie friend of 12 years. Since I bought it for Kindle, I did not get the CD. So, part of the effect was missing for me.

For Animal Lovers--our pets are like our children. Losing a pet is like losing a child that you have loved and cared for. I bought several of these books to give to friends when their beloved pet is gone. The pictures and stories are so special AND there is a music CD in the
back of the book to play while reading or just to listen to special loving songs about our feelings during this sad time. I HIGHLY recommend this book to all animal lovers. I even bought a copy to keep for myself !!

I purchased this book w/CD for a number of reasons of which inlcuded the fact that I lost my darling fur babies, have read another title by the author, and thought the CD a great extra bonus. The short yet touching content hit upon many emotions, and the songs on the CD still bring about tears when listened to once in a great while. I have since purchased this set for several people who lost their "kids" as I feel it is a lovely sympathy gift.

My beloved English Bulldog, Bailey, went to Rainbow Bridge a little over two years ago. I have so many wonderful memories and mementos of our 13+ years together, and "Goodby, My Friend" ranks very high for me.

The book itself is OK, but what makes this package so wonderful is the CD. Although there are only four songs, each is a wonderful, fitting tribute to the animal companions with whom we've shared our lives.

I play the CD over and over again, not only on those days that were so special for Bailey and me, but whenever I want to feel closer to him. The Rainbow Bridge song is especially endearing to me, and the other songs evoke so many other emotions from our relationship.

This is a definite MUST for anyone who has ever loved and lost their best friend - as well as those who may need a reminder of the joy and other gifts our animal companions bring to our lives.
